Trump cancels two more campaign events: report

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has reportedly canceled two of his upcoming campaign events.


The reports come after news surfaced Monday that the GOP nominee will be delaying a speech on immigration that was set for later this week amid new questions over his position on the issue.
Trump has canceled a Friday rally in Las Vegas scheduled at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa, according to the Las Vegas Sun. His campaign didn't say why the event was canceled.

The Republican nominee has also canceled an Aug. 31 rally and fundraiser in Portland, Ore., according to Oregon Public Broadcasting. Trump reportedly canceled the event due to scheduling changes.

“The campaign has decided to cancel the Aug. 31 fundraiser and rally in Portland as Mr. Trump has had to make changes to his calendar in the wake of the Louisiana flood disaster," Trump's Oregon campaign director Jacob G. Daniels told the outlet.

"We look forward to having Mr. Trump and Gov. [Mike] Pence in Oregon at a later date."

Trump was expected to give an immigration policy speech on Thursday in Colorado. He is still scheduled to attend a fundraiser in the state on Thursday but won't be making his previously scheduled speech.

Conway may be dragging him off the trail and shutting him up so the press will have to focus on Hillary.  No Trump, no story.

Well said. Trump's mouth could certainly use a couple of days off. And I agree that if Trump ever stopped saying stupid sh*t, it would confuse the hell out of the media.


Though I doubt they would ever start reporting on Hillary about anything. They are too committed to her being elected.

Hmmm.  Must be preparing for a major flip - probably going to announce that he's now for full open borders amnesty - they just need extra time to figure out the fresh lies they'll tell the Trumpkin true believers so they don't figure out they've been chumped again.

That won't last ... Trump is like a vampire feeding off the blood of his zombies.  (mixed mythical creatures?).  He can't stay away from his audience for too long.

Plus unless they cut off his thumbs, he will still be doing outrageous tweeting.  Went ballistic on Morning Joe today even to the point of threatening to reveal 'secrets' about him.

Too bad for Trump ... all his secrets have been revealed.

This will perhaps be the moment of truth.  Trump initially tapped into an angry and frustrated electorate on the issues of illegal immigration, building a wall and deportation.  He had the media in a frenzy; he drew the spotlight onto himself and has received free publicity for months. Sessions came on board and supported him, he challenged others during the debates on these issues and though he has meandered back and forth on these issues ... this is the moment that will (IMHO) indicate if he has been sincere from the beginning or if he sold his supporters a bill of goods.  IF he caves into amnesty in any way it will prove that indeed he is a liberal fraud.  It will be interesting.  IF he caves, he would have to publicly state why and then he will have to convince all his supporters that we really don't need a wall and can't deport millions. He will lose supporters and any credibility that he had.  If he holds steady and actually gives details regarding his plans for a wall, immigration policy and deportation ... then he's won.
