Wow. Respect for the folks here. This is revealing actually.

And Deep Purple is hardly an underrated band, they certainly have their fans who praise them, say the Amazon Rock forums if those still exist. Some folks really talk them up.

They were really good. If you ever find a copy of their album "Nervous Night" , get it. Two best songs- "And we danced"' and "All you Zombies".
