Is it possible the Trumo campaign was a charade meant as a launching pad for another of his business interests?
He gets the dough and we get Hillary?
That's the rhino in the room. It is a big gamble, but it is actually in line with how Trump operates. Trump has zero problem in running a losing venture if his downside is protected. Generally, that downside he is working for is building his brand. Remember, he has run for President before even though he knew he would lose. But it was all about building his brand and selling books.
Personally I think this one started as another brand building stunt and it got out of hand.
Another big question, how will his fans react if they feel like they were being used? I'm sure the most loyal believers won't feel used, but a lot may realize they were being riled up for a publicity stunt.
