The accusation has been made more than once that we opponents of Trump are simply "butthurt" because Cruz lost; as in, it was directly caused by the act of Trump winning the primary in a hostile and divisive manner. I would hope that I don't have to extend the metaphor of forced entry, as this is a public forum, but it should be clear.

The interesting thing is that aligncare used that vulgar attack on a thread where no one had said a word against Trump.

It was simply an effort to disrupt the thread and pick a fight like a school yard thug.

I was told straight up that I would be 'taken out' if I continued to be negative toward Trump. Kept a screenshot for posterity. Of course, I didn't take it seriously but another person might have.

Generally, when I'm threatened not to criticize someone in authority, that's a sign to me to double down. I read too much Tocqueville when I was young so I believe the more one is told they are not supposed to question power, that is the time when you are supposed to question it the most. So every time I'm called a traitor or some chairborne ranger makes what they think is a threat, I'm going to double down.

The only reason we have not read a threat like that here on this board from the minority of Trump acolytes here - is because of the rules that are enforced by the mod staff.

If the rules here became as they are at other boards that Trump's militants have taken over and turned into Trump Safe Spaces, I am certain those same death threats would be flung as often as the charges of being Hillary supporters are flung on this board.  It's easy to discern that desire (written or not) from all the ridicule and vehement vitriol being offered and flung daily at those of us who have said ad nauseum, we are not ever casting a vote for Trump.  Ever.

It seems a Trump Activist's nature to declare all who will not vote for their prince to be  traitors - and some to openly suggest that we deserve a traitor's death for refusing to vote the way they demand.
