Sure, let's elect Hillary. What could be the worst that could happen?

Can you imagine the decorating costs if Trump wins?

Turning the White House into his whore gold house.

What could be worse?

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Trump's support of single-payer socialized healthcare would be worse than pimping out the WH.

Sessions feigned temporary support of Cruz's attempt to defend Obamacare then said...

“I did not believe it was a great strategy and was not an enthusiastic proponent of the strategy,”  ~Jeff Sessions, Supporter of liberal Donald Trump

The attack on Cruz for having unrealistic expectations was and is also a lie.

The goal was to force Obama to compromise, the fact that the GOP leaders like McConnell went on full attack mode for Obama was the reason it failed.

Quote
As the 2013 battle began, Cruz said victory was within reach if Republicans simply stuck together. But Friday night, he explained that what was actually possible was "a middle ground compromise" in which President Obama would have been forced to give way on some aspects of Obamacare. Such a compromise "would have provided some significant relief to the millions of people losing their jobs, losing their health insurance, losing their doctors because of Obamacare," Cruz said.

The same thing happened in the House where the Boehner-led leadership went on the warpath to save ObamaCare funding. Spending bills must come from the House.

Quote
"What we did not anticipate was that Senate Republican leadership would actively, vigorously, vocally lead the fight against House Republicans," Cruz said. "Once that happened, it became almost impossible to win that battle."

Once the GOP leadership came out gangbusters to save ObamaCare funding, the fight was no longer winnable. Now these same GOPE leaders are calling for "unity". lol.

Worse than Hillary's healthcare plan? Worse than her foreign policy incompetence and corruption?

Seriously, I've never defended Trump at this site and I'm still not doing so (and never will), but it's disingenuous only to bash Trump without taking an honest look at the horrors of the alternative.

Disingenuous is a lifelong liberal running as a Republican while pretending to be any different than the liberal he has always supported.

I don't perceive Trump to be any different than Hillary.  In fact, I believe he is in the race for one reason, to help her get elected.  I refuse to support that.

I agree.  Both are liberals who share an ideology.   I can't and won't support either.

Right you are GBC.   There is only an illusion of alternative.

I can only speak for myself but I have 100% confidence I am doing the right thing in supporting genuine conservatism while rejecting the liberal Donald Trump who seeks to redefine it.

Is Trump a conservative?   He's certainly a very unusual one,  emphasizing xenophobia,  protectionism, and militant volkishness, wrapped around a personality that's, well, megalomanical.   Will he appoint better SCOTUS justices than Clinton?   Probably,  but at what cost?   The implications of violence and division that surround Trumpism scare me a hell of lot more than Clintonism does.

Trump's problem isn't his conservative bona fides;  he's got to start acting like the potential leader of a great nation, not a banana republic of brownshirts.

Trump has no conservative credentials

Exactly.

All this does is hurt Jeff Sessions' credibility.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

I'd like to hear Jeff Sessions explain why he never had the courage to speak out against Trump's wildly over the top attacks on Ted Cruz and his family.

I guess that whole southern gentleman act is just that.

Given Ted Cruz was the only one in the senate with balls enough to stand against Obamacare, your assertion that my typo was anything more is laughable.

As for Ted's "many sides", lifelong liberal Donald Trump has flipped on more issues than Ted Cruz ever has.  In fact, Trump's every stated position in this election is a contradiction to what he has supported for nearly all his adult life and as recently as when Obama was reelected.  The man is as big a liar as Hillary Clinton and every bit as liberal.

Dear Sen. Sessions:  thanks, but no thanks.  If you wanted party unity, you should have nominated someone who we could get behind.  As it is, you nominated the one person guaranteed to lose to Clinton.  Good luck with that.
