  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Hannity has it right exactly.

Trump is as good of a candidate as Romney or McCain; and better than Bush who ruined the GOP.
Oh yeah, trump was a governor, a senator, and a fighter pilot.

Whoops, that isn't it. His 'Vietnam' was not getting the clap while bedhopping back in the States. Maybe he was injured in a 'training accident'? War is hell. If Hannity's eyes aren't brown, he's a quart low.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Well Heidi Cruz apparently wrote the whole NAFTA plan while she was in high school :silly:
Wrote it? She implemented it! ...and personally printed out all those Ameros on the internet.

It has gotten to the point when people flippantly throw the term 'neo-con' out, you usually can bet the rest is bunk or not worth reading. 'Neo-Con' used as a boogeyman in some circles, probably replacing 'Illuminati' because no one takes anyone ranting about them seriously. I'm sure next we'll see some rantings about banker families too.

They're just Ron Paul retreads flocking to their next messiah.

When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

The REALITY is Trump or Hillary.

You are welcome to have both demagogues.  All to yourself.

We will have nothing to do with supporting or assisting either one of them achieve the power they seek with our endorsement.  You people made Hillary's coronation a certainty by choosing the one Stalking Horse she wanted you to have "run" against her in the General.

At one point in time Ann Coulter said that liberals say "neo-con" because they can't say "dirty jew".

Wow! This is like being on FR again. Echo chamber, hating on anyone who disagrees with the 'group', being accusatory....just like the good ol' days.

So true. Neocon is almost a dog whistle. When people say it, I start ignoring.

Exactly. I like a little positivism to go with my endless rage or wrist slitting despair. In fact I think they are part of the reason we're in such a mess. They're the ones who spout endlessly but never point out that our congressmen are individuals and not some mindless borg collective out to screw us all.

Its become very rare for me to listen to any of them but I do enjoy Mark Levin if he's got a good guest or is talking about a good subject.

You should check out Mike Slater on KFMB AM 760 out of San Diego.  He throws a lot of positivity into his program.  He does discuss Trump in a political way, such as "he does x, y or z and in today's society that is a winning formula.  I'm not saying that it should be that way, but that it just is."  That said, I still find his approach to Trump completely reasonable.  He also does a weekly biography segment, where he brings in authors of biographies of folks that have "made America great."  He talks about the positives of the free market and capitalism and the destruction of socialism.  He does a weekly "taps" segment to honor our warriors and he does many ad hoc segments when he finds other inspirational and positive stories.

He is also young, but very philosophical and seems to be a big picture kind of guy.  I loaded the app on my smart phone and try to catch all of his segments.  Sometimes I do have to skip some of the more local San Diego talk (Chargers talk about getting a new stadium) and some other subjects....but I can not recommend him enough.

I pointed this out to a certain Trump backer the other day and his reply was he didn't recall Trump saying such a thing. A great example of Trump backers selective memories when it comes to Trump frequent faux pas.

Do you have a link to that coming from Trump himself?

He didn't say that. That's the way the NeverTrumps read it.

The presumptive GOP nominee said that he can win without the backing of the full party by drawing Democratic voters, specifically supporters of Bernie Sanders.

How's that working out?

He didn't use those words. That was the NeverTrump narrative put forth.

Wow.  That is a GREAT quote, Bigun!  I'm keeping that one, and savoring its meaning.  :patriot:
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

Its not the first time he's disparaged us filthy conservatives.

Don't tell me you are going to believe your own lying ears again? Come on, you never know what Trump says tell the Trump stable boys come along to clean it up and tell us what he actually meant was...

Here's another you may like!

"When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed upon your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, 'just men who will rule in the fear of God.' The preservation of government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty; if the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made, not for the public good so much as for selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the laws; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded. If a republican government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the divine commands, and elect bad men to make the administer the laws."

History of United States by Noah Webster.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

I called it in the quote: A great example of Trump backers selective memories when it comes to Trump frequent faux pas

Funny, 10 years ago he was bitch and moaning against GW Bush and those who wasn't a True Conservative according to him (among other talk show hosts who support Trump now). To me Trump is no conservative.
