How recounts happen:  If the count between two candidates is within a certain set percentage, an automatic recount happens paid by the county if it is a county position or the state if it is a state position or the federal government if a national office.  If an automatic recount isn't triggered by the vote, a candidate may ask for a recount, but he/she has to pay for it.

Soo, the loser of Paul Ryan's race would have to pay for it.  With the count the way it is, astronomical difference,   :thud:  my guess is the loser just went home and had a beer, or two, or three.

I did......8 years ago. I also voted for a whole host of people over the years that didn't sound like a Liberal Rat on the stump or dropped a f u c k or two in front of an audience of supporters. Granted, those were heady days. Days where the GOP candidate didn't promise to raise my taxes, raise the minimum wage or attack the rich.

Progress? Like hell. It Groundhog Day. This will be the 3rd Presidential election in a row where the GOP fielded a stumbling idiot who insists on stepping on MSM landmines.

If your boy Donny didn't decide to make an off the cuff remark involving shooting his opponent today, the media cycle would have been filled up with Hitlary being named in a Benghazi lawsuit and campaigning with a terrorists father. Real smart play by Trump eh?

Actually her endorsement mojo was mythical to begin with. Probably a lot closer to 20% than 50%.

Well known candidates she endorses do OK but they would do OK without her. In 2010 she endorsed Brian Rooney in my district primary and he lost by around 60-40. This year Trumpian nutcase Doug North claimed her endorsement and he lost by a 75-25 margin.
