The President or the Supreme Court cannot abolish the Second Amendment.   Has anyone on the Trump side of the house scored better than a D- in basic Civics?  To abolish the 2nd it will take the creation of a new Amendment, the 28th. I won't bore you with all that is required to do that.

Can a Liberal-sided Court interpret the Amendment in a way that allows states or the U.S. to ban the sale of certain types of weapons or magazine capacity, absolutely. But lets get the facts right and stop freighting people with lies.
 It was NOT the court that banned assault weapons in 1994 but the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate and Bill Clinton signing it into law.   The Federal Assault Weapons Ban (AWB) — officially, the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act — is a subsection of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, a United States federal law that included a prohibition on the manufacture for civilian use of certain semi-automatic weapons.

 If you need to have a boogeyman to be afraid of, start with Republicans losing the control of both houses, and Trump is helping to get that done.

The problem is he can end the RNC Convention on a high note, and flush it all down the toilet the very next day by something he says. He can give what most conservative agree was a pretty good economic platform speech and flush it down the crapper as well with something stupid that comes out of his pie hole the next day. Personally, I don't have a problem with what he was trying to say it's just he's an idiot when trying to say it. Strip away all of the euphemisms and polite talk and what is the 2nd amendment all about? It's not about hunting. It's not even really about personal self defense although it has since been defined to incorporate that understanding. No. The  2nd Amendment is about: shooting cops, federal agents, soldiers and politicians.

But because of Trump and his half-witted mealy mouth statements the point gets lost. My mom and I watched the rally and we knew exactly what he meant.  The media is  determined to  destroy Trump, Because it is the only way Hillary can win .

Then....why didn't Trump just say that?  What is this penchant of his for opening mouth and inserting foot?  Is it deliberate, as some suspect?  Or is it just his special little form of eccentric stupidity?  Either way, it does NOT bode well as a character trait for the next Commander In Chief.  Just sayin....
