I've heard Trump's remarks in the video about ten times now. Did he really mean he wanted people to go out and shoot Hillary if she somehow was able to get rid of the 2nd amendment? No, it was a typically, stupid Trump off-hand remark.
But here's the problem....not only will the left gleefully twist his statement (Scott Pelley could barely contain his glee as he led off the CBS News yesterday with the story about Trump further "derailing" his campaign), millions of undecideds will see the CBS and other leftist news and believe their versions that yes, Trump was advocating somebody shoot Hillary.
Trump just cannot stop making stupid remarks like that. It doesn't matter if he meant them or not, the way he phrases things allows the leftist media to twist his daft remarks.
As a competent campaigner, the guy is a walking, talking disaster.

Well, I do blame the media, inasmuch as they're using Trump's idiocies as an excuse to bury stories that expose Hillary's criminal activities.

But Trump.... He has to know they'll savage him. He's got to; and so does his team.

So assuming he's not just plain stupid and/or crazy (I don't rule either of those out), he must think he's executing some grand strategy with this stuff. Maybe he thinks it's that "there's no such thing as bad publicity" applies as well to presidential politics, as it does to reality TV.

Honestly, I was more of an Green Acres fan anyway. Show had much deeper satire than people realized.

If only....Trump did and said the logical, common sense things to say. But that would be presuming that he wants and/or intends to win.

yes, Green Acres had one of the best cast of supporting characters in tv sitcom history. Pat Buttram was the real star of the show as far as I was concerned.

Pelley did mention the Orlando killer's pappy, but only briefly and with no comment about how it might affect Hillary's campaign. Certainly, Hillary can't be responsible for the people at her rally.

That's the problem (or one of the big problems) with Trump....he's completely out of his depth as a campaigner. And he refuses to apologize for his stupid remarks. The idiots at FR lap it up as their hero is perfect and can do no wrong.
The fact that millions of voters who are not members of FR or Trumpsters will take the remark as meaning Trump wouldn't mind somebody shooting Clinton completely eludes most of them.

I don't think it even possible to make the conclusion that Trump meant harm to Hillary. It's too poorly phrased to be coherent.
