AhlulBayt News Agency - Yemeni forces have reportedly clashed with Saudi-backed militants loyal to the former government in the northern province of Sana’a, killing over 50 of the mercenaries.

A military source, requesting not to be named, said the militants loyal to the former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, launched an offensive on Saturday to wrest control of Nihm district, east of the capital, Sana’a.

However, Yemeni army forces and their allies thwarted the assault and killed 52 Saudi-backed mercenaries in the process.

The Saudis can't do anything for themselves.

They bring in foreigners -- either educated and skilled, or unskilled "near-slave" labor -- to do what needs to be done there.
Oilfields, construction, maintenance, day-labor -- someone else does it for them.

Guess they can't even fight for themselves, as well.
Sounds like even some of their armies are "mercenaries-for-hire".

When it comes to soldiers, faith is a much more powerful motivator than money alone.

The Saudis are going to discover -- with much surprise and unpleasantry -- that this is not a winning strategy for national survival.
