Tell me again how he is not sandbagging his own run, because it sure looks like it.

Donald Trump has savaged Japan, one of America's closest allies, stating that if the US is attacked, all Japan would do is "sit home and watch Sony television".

I hate to tell him this but Japanese companies outsource a lot of their electronics these days. As it is A Minnesota based company makes the only "American Made" large screen TVs near Detroit. They're made almost entirely from Chinese made components.

Mr Trump threatened Japan that, under his presidency, it could be necessary to "walk" away from the treaty.

"It could be that Japan will have to defend itself against North Korea," he said.

"You always have to be prepared to walk," Mr Trump added about getting allies to carry their financial weight.

"I don't think we'll walk, I don't think it's going to be necessary. It could be, though."

Certifiably nuts.  No presidential candidate talks this way.

Good God.

:facepalm2:

One of the reasons the Japanese might stay home is that we wrote their constitution after WWII and we imposed the provision that they could only use military force for self-defense.

In other words, if the Japanese stayed home, the only people to blame for that would be ... us.

He's a shallow thinking idiot when it comes to virtually any subject.

Between South Korea and Japan I'm sure they could easily handle North Korea but that doesn't mean you preemptively tell them that we'll abandon them.

He's a friggin loon.  And that is presuming that he IS sandbagging is own run.  Anybody that could help (or donate to) the Grifter Duo Clintons would have to be batchit crazy or just as corrupt as they are.

The man is doing a remarkable impression of Kim Jong-un.  Next think you know Trump will want to shoot off a nuke.

Didn't he already ask about that?

What is it going to take for these cowardly Republican politicians to disavow the Trump candidacy?  He is causing long-term damage to our country's reputation, whether or not he wins.

When he finally endorsed Ryan I thought maybe just maybe someone was able to break through to him and convince him to knock it off with the crazy  talk.

I was wrong.

Certifiably nuts.  No presidential candidate talks this way.

No wonder the Japanese are redoing their Constitution to allow them to defend themselves.  No wonder the NORKS continue to ramp up their aggressive illegal missile launches.  Trump is likely to talk the Chinese into sinking one of our aircraft carriers.

All he does is continue to make the Hildebeest appear to be the only adult in the room.

LOL!  That's a blast from the past.  I bought the first season of that and it was soooo stupid that I resold it on eBay.  Or I tried to.  I don't remember if it actually sold.

Ah real stinker eh?   Some things don't hold up over time.

Up your nose with a rubber hose?   Right...

Ha. I was in the 8th grade when WBK was popular. We used to drive our home room/science teacher half mad by doing the Horshack laugh and the hand raising bit.

Yeah.  The 70's were rough years for TV and movies.  Music was pretty good though.  Don't get me wrong, there's some good stuff out there.  Not this.  Welcome Back Kotter was something I watched back then and thought it was pretty funny.  So I was happy when it was released on DVD.  STINKER big time.  FYI to anyone else thinking of buying it.  Get it used and spend as little as possible if you just must have it.

I'm still going to give Room 222 a try.  It might have the same failure to hold up.   I seem to remember watching them back to back.

Barney Miller and WKRP are still classics although I’m not sure, having not seem them in years, if they really hold up.  Of course then again, while some of the skits are without question, still classics, watching the old I Love Lucy shows also have a few cringe worthy moments.

Did we not write Japan's current Constitution?

He's ripping them for something we put in?

Trump watches the Sunday shows, he reads the papers (like People?), he knows more about ISIS than the generals do, Japan and South Korea and Saudi Arabia should all have nukes and that would solve everything, and he knows all the best words -  he’s really smart and he’s really rich. Believe him.

I'm not a fan of Japan, but Trumps statement is simply ludicrous. He has already trashed and surrendered so many allies while praising dictators it is disgusting.
