Ted Cruz Refuses to Endorse Paul Ryan for Congress

JANESVILLE, Wisconsin — Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a former GOP presidential candidate who won this state over current GOP nominee Donald Trump back during the primaries, is not backing House Speaker Paul Ryan’s re-election during his primary against Republican businessman Paul Nehlen at this point.

Cruz’s team, over the course of several emails on Friday, told Breitbart News the Senator would not at this time back Ryan for re-election to the U.S. Congress. It’s worth noting, though, that according to Cruz’s team Ryan has not asked Cruz for his endorsement. Cruz also refused to endorse Donald Trump for president, despite a primetime speaking slot at the Republican National Convention.

“Sen. Cruz likes and respects Paul Ryan,” Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier told Breitbart News. “He considers endorsements when asked, and in this case a request wasn’t made.”



So what do we make of this?

trump is endorsing Ryan... Ted ..not so much.

FR is so bipolar over this. On an earlier thread on this, when Trump was going to endorse Ryan, they were all angry, but when Cruz refuses to endorse him, they call a traitor.  Kind of confirms my suspicion, the real problem they have with Cruz is his last name and complexion.

We're seeing a major difference in what people hold dear.  I don't admire Ted, the man.  I admire Ted, the principles.
They admire Trump, the man.  Principles are squat.
If Ted revoked his principles, I would have dropped him.

Interestingly, we can fathom their issues.  They can't fathom ours.  They think we admire Ted, the man, because its the universe they know.

I agree, we have others.. who carry the flame of Freedom...Ben Sasse, Mike Lee.. and more, too many to mention.. but sadly so far few to those feasting at the table of Big Government/Big Business.

Ted is not irreplaceable.... but he IS one of a very few.

I am honored to have done what I could do to s'port him. And I still will do what I can, as he is ...me. In the realm of politics large.

I do recall an anti-Cruz Freeper saying we need a president with an "American" name.

I remember some FReepers saying you can never trust a Cuban. My father was born in Cuba, and I say you can never trust an alt-righter posing as a conservative.

Earlier today, Nehlin had a rally with Ann Coulter and was supposed to meet with Trump at his rally.
