cheating does not save marriages, that's a stupid idea
it is completely immoral
it should be shot in the face as a concept
I love this response because it encapsulates the whole point I was making. I have known 50+ couples where the wife actually 'bought' a prostitute for her husband, as I said, 'just to get it over with'. The wife doesn't want to do the stuff that is on his mind, as a sort of last fantasy sex romp, so why not buy a woman who does it for a living and doesn't mind. In some cases, when faced with the situation in front of him, the guy couldn't follow through. lol
After a couple has been married for decades, the possessive nature of the relationship tends to diminish. If the wife or the husbands really, really, wants something, then why the hell not make them happy for an hour? If it is with a prostitute, and the wife knows, I'm not sure if that qualifies as 'cheating'. Maybe it does. I don't know. I don't think so.
But how could this be worse than divorce. Divorce is the ultimate dissolution of a marriage that exists. Everyone is effected, especially the children. To divorce a wife of thirty years so you could be with a prostitute, because that was the 'moral' thing to do, seems like a bit of overkill. It is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
To me, cheating involves a relationship and some kind of emotional connection. Just having sex to fulfill a desire with a prostitute has nothing to do with 'love'. It is like riding the roller coaster at six-flags. It is fun, and when it is over you go home to your real life, and your real wife, happier for the experience.
You will not find love or a relationship, other than a monetary one, at the fellatio cafe. But you will likely have a good, relaxed, day at work while your pampered wife sleeps late into the morning undisturbed. Everybody wins.
That sounds like a good marriage to me. It is much better than getting 'shot in the face'.
