Donald Trump's campaign chief made an extraordinary slip of the tongue on Thursday morning as he sought to reframe the turmoil within the Republican's election team, when he accidentally said he would support someone besides his boss for president.

First Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort admitted on ABC News' Good Morning America that 'there is a conflict within the Trump campaign' over whether the party's standard bearer should endorse Speaker of the House Paul Ryan in his congressional primary.

Yeah, the rumor is apparently going around that the "intervention" by RNC leadership could take place as soon as this weekend, and they won't be just telling him to straighten up and fly right, they'll be telling him to withdraw.*

If Rep. Ryan does replace him, all of the conspiracy-minded will be saying that was the plan all along...   :pondering:

I think the assumption is that if we lose in November we just gather back up try again in 4 years.  But with 2 SCOTUS slots open or soon to be open, that would be enough to irrevocably rescind gun rights, and a whole host of other rights that have been hanging on by 1 vote, I'm not sure it will be that easy to come back from 4 more years.  Every socialist country in the world started off like us...

"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

What a fustercluck this campaign has been.

Yes, and Trump is to blame. But you know who will actually be blamed? Those of us who've wuestioned his candidacy from the beginning. We will be blamed for our lack of support causing his implosion. Bet on it.

Sean Hannity is blaming Ted Cruz.
