PHILADELPHIA — When President Obama spoke Wednesday night on Hillary Clinton's behalf, he was no doubt sincere about wanting her in the White House. After all, Clinton is his greatest hope to see his policies and legacy continued.

This isn't unusual for presidents. But in this case, Obama represents the most radical break with the norms of the American presidency — with the possible exception of FDR — and his legacy is riding on it.

ObamaCare. Dodd-Frank. A massive regulatory burden on American business. Climate policies based on questionable science. Taxes on entrepreneurs and small business. A war on America's energy producers. A Republican presidency would end, or at least severely limit and alter, these destructive progressive policies.
