We love a story with a happy ending and this one has just that thanks to Denton Police Department.
Mia Cagle, a young girl from Denton, wanted to raise money for the families of the fallen police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge. With permission from her mother, and in the great American spirit of entrepreneurship, she created a lemonade stand to do just that. She set up her stand complete with “Back the Blue” signs, and made a gallon of lemonade to sell to her friends and neighbors. But what happened when she turned her back for a moment?
Some thug decided to destroy her signs, break her table and steal the bench. Can you believe it? Little Mia Cagle was heartbroken as was her mother, who called the Denton Police to report the incident. However the boys in blue quickly came to her aid and bought her a new table, markers, posters, boards, cup and lemonade. By her 14th birthday, she was back in business raising money for the boys in blue. What an awesome gesture by the Denton Police Department and we hope it brings lots of lemonade sales for Mia.
