The local theatre near Walmart (Regal 16?) is commonly referred to as Bollywood Theatres. From a business standpoint, it makes perfect sense. I don't know how theatres survive in an age of Netflix and downloadable content.

The amount of foreign programs I can watch on the internet is amazing. Within days of being released programs from China, like ICE FANTASY are subtitled in English. (and many other languages). I just checked and see 14 languages subtitled, although Greek and simplified Chinese have fallen behind...

https://www.viki.com/tv/28842c-ice-fantasy?locale=en

This is not stolen material by the way. They have a world wide license for the content with the exception of China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Hunan-TV will have no problem selling the series to TV networks in those countries. No reason to give it away there.

I don't think either one of them use a raised fist logo.  Myself, I only recognize one shade of orange:

But to pull this thread back on topic... boy that Sarah Palin, she certainly has changed since 2008 hasn't she?

Using "suicide vest" imagery in relation to Ted Cruz's speech at the RNC... didn't Mrs. Palin once upon a time proclaim herself to be a Christian?
Let it burn.

America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. What they are too stupid to understand is that every time they slam Cruz, they slam me.  He is representative of my views and values.  He did exactly what I thought he should do.  So when they trash him, they trash me.  It's personal.

 :amen:

You just summed up my perspective as well. Why Trump supporters don't condemn his behavior, which they would never tolerate if it were directed at them, is beyond me. I could never support someone who acts like him and respect myself.

Best explanation by far...even better than the one I was about to post.....please respect this decision please.
With due respect:

While Trump is not even close to being on the same level as the Nazis in terms of willingness to perform ethnic cleansing, there is a certain ominous intent I sense from him. I've made this analog before, but in the mid-30s, back when socialist Huey Long was running for President, someone wrote a fiction book called "It Can't Happen Here:" it was about a Presidential candidate named Buzz Windrip who was an extreme nationalist demagogue, and when he won election, he used the militia to crush dissidents. The book was written to strip away some of the ideological barriers that made people think that just because this is America, there's no way the people here would elect such a monster. I haven't read the whole novel, but from what I read about it, Windrip's approach is eerily similar to what Donald Trump is doing now. It's truly life imitating art.

Palin speaks:

I can only excerpt, but this is beyond the pale:

"Nationalist revolution?" She's certifiable, and no longer a conservative.

The rest of this needs to be read in its entirety, just don't do it for two hours after you've eaten.

The comments on this at TOS are priceless   Those who do not worship Trump are not wanted in any fashion   While it is up to true conservatives if they want to vote for Trump (really against Hilary) or not the over the top rhetoric by his supporters does not work in their favor.   My plea to all conservatives is if you decide to sit this one out, please go to the polls for the down ticket races....

Well, she does call us all "haters", TS.    Fine - what I hate is craven stupidity, and it's been riding the Trump Train for months.

Shouldn't you be over on with sinkspur's Hillary's convention thread ??

In the first place, why should she or their side be bitter?  Didn't her/their guy win the nomination?

Palin is the reason I voted Republican in 2008.  I held my nose and voted for McCain even though I couldn't stand the SOB and still can't.  I was wrong.  I see that (only) now.  I won't make that mistake ever again.

Palin is dead to me now.....

as is the GOP.

The mistake is in thinking that a conservative running mate is going to atone for a liberal candidate. That, and the fact that she would jump into bed with the likes of McCain ought to have told us everything we needed to know about her.
Gee, it feels great to be a gangster!

I don't wear one, either. It has not been a problem. Nobody has ever said a thing, during my 48.5 years of wedded bliss.

Yes, but you're not running for POTUS on the Republican ticket. A wedding band represents marriage, family, and faithfulness.

The image was removed because members have been warned repeatedly to not post Third Reich photos of rallies, to insinuate they emulate a future Trump Administration.

The reason Palin doesn't wear a wedding ring is because her hand swells from all the hand shaking she had to do, or did.  Lincoln had the same problem, and so did Teddy Roosevelt.  She still carries the dime store ring Todd bought her while she was in Honolulu around in her pocket or on a necklace when she's out in public.

How many of the people that are now telling us we must vote for Trump were telling us in 2008 that we shouldn't vote for McCain, or in 2012 not vote for Romney? Cruz is trashed for saying that Republicans should vote their conscience, and yet we have Rinseandrepeatous telling Democrats that they should  vote their conscience and all is well in Republikstahn. Republicans who have claimed to have the moral high ground exhibit abhorrence at the prospect of voting their conscience while exhorting the morally bankrupt Democrats to vote theirs. Alice has stepped through the looking glass and taken up residence at the Mad Hatters(do I really have to say it) tealess party.
