Turning on Palin?

Sure. Doing what "Republicans" and "conservatives" do like nobody else. Turning on their own.

What they are too stupid to understand is that every time they slam Cruz, they slam me.  He is representative of my views and values.  He did exactly what I thought he should do.  So when they trash him, they trash me.  It's personal.
That was good...I may have to borrow it.

You hit the nail on the head buddy.

Ah, no one here has threatened to contribute a single dollar to a PAC for the purpose of throwing a conservative out of office.

Has Cruz gone after Palin in the same way she's currently going after him?
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Palin is great. I absolutely loved her speech at the convention this year.....no, wait. She wasn't even invited because she is so toxic. Oh well. I'm sure she has better ways to make a buck....

Well, she does call us all "haters", TS.    Fine - what I hate is craven stupidity, and it's been riding the Trump Train for months.

So, Sarah You're-Either-With-Us-Or-The-Enemy Palin triples down on declaring us domestic enemies in Trump's "Nationalist Revolution".

MOD 3: image removed.

Image was the stadium in Berlin 1936, with millions of Germans saluting their Fuhrer.

Nothing new under the sun.

I do  not understand why the image was removed

I do  not understand why the image was removed

Yesterday I suggested  that a "Trump supporter" was really an outsourced disruptor from India and asked then how things were going in Mumbai.

I was told to either edit or remove the offensive post. Go figure.

Pure speculation on my part, but any references to Hitler/Nazi Germany are needlessly incendiary. I've visited Dachau and Flossenburg twice each. Although Trump and his supporters are often unhinged, they are not in the same league as Hitler and his band.

Just my $.02.

In the first place, why should she or their side be bitter?  Didn't her/their guy win the nomination?

Palin is the reason I voted Republican in 2008.  I held my nose and voted for McCain even though I couldn't stand the SOB and still can't.  I was wrong.  I see that (only) now.  I won't make that mistake ever again.

Palin is dead to me now.....

as is the GOP.

The image was removed because members have been warned repeatedly to not post Third Reich photos of rallies, to insinuate they emulate a future Trump Administration.

Why not? The pro-Trump side seems to get away with almost anything.

Yes, Trump Supporters get quite upset when anyone points out the eerie similarities between the Trump Train and any "nationalist revolutions" of the past.

But I don't really understand the point of removing an image and replacing it with a line of text that explains precisely what the image was. After all if the comparison to Nazi Germany is what they find offensive, isn't a line of text saying "Image was the stadium in Berlin 1936, with millions of Germans saluting their Fuhrer. " just as offensive as the original image?

It's apparent that the mods do not live in North Texas, specifically North Irving aka Valley Ranch, former home to the Dallas Cowboys. I've lived there 20 years, and it has become one of the preferred enclaves for Indians, and I don't mean Native Americans.

Last week, I was down in South Irving to pick up my car at the shop I've gone to for several years. Oddly enough, the owner is a Muslim. Couldn't ask for a nicer place to live. When I told him I live in Valley Ranch, he said, "you mean Bombay, don't you?" It's easy to identify women that are trying to assimilate into American culture: they're all wearing yoga pants.   :silly:  The older women wear their colorful native dresses.

Lovely people, but terrible drivers. No doubt I'll be selling my house to a multi-generational Indian family in a couple of years. Not leaving the area, just want to move closer to church and the high school.

I'm a citizen of the world here: my ophthalmologist is a Sikh.

Apologies for the thread hijack.

It's been heading that way for years, the old Chateau theater has only been showing movies from India for a long time.

I find your call for Orange Power to be vaguely reminiscent of the Orange Revolution in the Ukraine and therefore probably offensive to Vladimir Putin.   :nono:

The local theatre near Walmart (Regal 16?) is commonly referred to as Bollywood Theatres. From a business standpoint, it makes perfect sense. I don't know how theatres survive in an age of Netflix and downloadable content.
