GOP platform calls for better military pay, less 'social experimentation'

Troops would see a boost in military benefits and end “social experimentation” in the ranks under the the Republican Party platform adopted at this week’s convention in Cleveland.

The document, drafted over the last few months by conservative leaders, isn’t an exact blueprint for Republican candidate Donald Trump’s potential presidency but does offer broad outlines for the party’s priorities in years to come.

That includes Trump’s often-repeated theme of “rebuilding the military” and bolstering national defense. The platform laments President Obama’s two terms in office as bringing a gradual decline in military readiness, and calls for more defense funding and focus.

I agree 100%.  The problem is...and the left knows this...which is why this crap always happens when a Progressive is in power...is that you can't put the Genie back in the bottle.

The havoc Obama has wreaked inthe military via his social engineering bullshit is here to stay unfortunately.  The task now is limiting the damage as much as possible to maintain a force capable of going to war...not just looking fahhhhbulous after their DoD paid for sex change operation.

As for the pay...every year we don't get a 2% raise Congress and the President are violating federal law.

Same here my friend.  Something has to be done...and soon...the politicians and the PC types can only ignore the coming Islamic storm for so long before they are going to need to repel it with force.

Gonna be a real mess if they go to the cupboard and it's bare.

All the politicians are aware the old lady's shoe is starting to run bare.  They are now afraid to admit they have been bamboozling the American public for the past 8 years.  What the democrats really fear is if trump winds up in the WH There will be blood letting of unparalleled proportion when the lies and chicanery of the democrats is exposed.  Right now they are mollifying the troops while looking for ways to take away their votes.  Neither candidate is "loved" by the military so they are an unknown that could go a long way to choosing the winner so both sides are coming out with their very best lies, in my opinion.

Since when has the GOP, especially lately, ever cared about or followed what is stated in the party platform?

The party platforms always seemed to me like one of those on-line dating profiles* – it all sounds so good on the surface - he’s rich and successful, owns his own house and a boat and the pictures all show someone fit and trim and athletic, and he shares all your interests, and he’s a gentleman and a true romantic at heart. But when you go on the first date, you find out he’s unemployed, living in his mother’s basement, overweight and balding, 20+ years older than any of the pictures he’s posted, if the pictures were ever really him, and he’s a chain smoker with emphysema who thinks that a great date night is going to Walmart and you cooking him dinner while he watches porno movies or the WWE.
