Yeah, and when republicans took control of both houses they made promises, not just calls, that were never kept. Like with commiecrats, I'll believe it when I see it.
Since when has the GOP, especially lately, ever cared about or followed what is stated in the party platform?
The party platforms always seemed to me like one of those on-line dating profiles* – it all sounds so good on the surface - he’s rich and successful, owns his own house and a boat and the pictures all show someone fit and trim and athletic, and he shares all your interests, and he’s a gentleman and a true romantic at heart. But when you go on the first date, you find out he’s unemployed, living in his mother’s basement, overweight and balding, 20+ years older than any of the pictures he’s posted, if the pictures were ever really him, and he’s a chain smoker with emphysema who thinks that a great date night is going to Walmart and you cooking him dinner while he watches porno movies or the WWE.
* Based on some of my real life experiences after my divorce when I was on Match.com.
