I think the pledge to the Republic for which it stands comes out on top not the pledge to the party. This is America after all.

You have to love the irony though.  I mean....this is the same party that, when handed a historic win that put them in the majority in both houses...proceeded to crap all over the very conservatives, their base, that elected them.  And they have the nerve to ask for a "pledge"?  You really can't make this stuff up, folks.  Truth really is stranger than fiction these days.

If accusing a candidate's father (in your own party) of being involved in the assassination of a former president is "just politics", it needs to die a quick and violent death because its a serious problem.

Its the politics of cultural degeneracy and talkers who refuse to denounce it are just as guilty as those who seek to shove homosexuality, transgenderism etc in our faces.

As a point of order, I will understand your 'in your own party' to be a matter of emphasis rather than delineation.

I posted this on my FB page just now....

I have a challenge for my friends who have spent last night and today condemning that dirty, rotten scoundrel named Ted Cruz for the slight of not endorsing Donald Trump for President in his speech last night.

I took the liberty of finding Ronald Reagan's speech from the 1976 Republican National Convention, and posted the link below. Please take note that NOT ONCE in the speech did he specifically endorse Gerald Ford, but made one reference to him in the opening line of the speech. He made no mention of any policies Ford was offering either, so he actually said LESS about Ford than Cruz said about Trump.

So, to all my friends who are declaring this day that Ted Cruz is some sort of terrible person, then to be consistent you are also calling Ronald Reagan a possibly EVEN WORSE terrible person.

Let that soak in for a while, OK? BTW, nobody booed Ronald Reagan for the fine speech. Oh, the challenge? Think for a minute about the heaps of dung you're slinging at Ted Cruz today. That's all I ask.

Yes. I was watching FOX News Special Report tonight, and all the assorted stooges er commentators slammed Cruz for venting. Brit Hume was particularly obnoxious saying Cruz gave away his real reasons this morning when he said he wouldn't support someone who reviled family members thereby negating what he said last night about principle. As if Cruz didn't do both.
 Trump is a louse who has no business being the nominee. Millions of his votes in the primaries were Dem crossovers who were deliberately trying to get him in there.
All the Cruz haters can't seem to understand that basic fact.... Trump is totally unfit to be president. Because Clinton is more unfit does not make Trump a fit candidates. Because one fecal sandwich is plain and one has catsup on it does not make the one with catsup fit for consumption.

This is just a scriptural depiction of the image we have put up that shows a nation seig-heiling Hitler and one man refusing to salute.

The Trump militant can throw numbers at you and tell you that you are a tiny irrelevant minority and that everyone is worshipping and supporting Trump - but stand firm on principles that forbid you to bow down and support someone that is totally and completely antithetical to everything you believe in.
