Do you remember the Super Hero TV series Nightman?
https://youtu.be/i5LhB2X0cuAIt had to have been made by musicians. Too many inside jokes.
The super stud crime fighter was filthy rich like Bruce Wayne but he supported his hobby by playing dinner jazz sax.
If he got the call to put on the Hero Suit and battle crooks during a performance, he replaced himself on stage with a hologram, and the diners never knew the difference. OUCH!
The show was Canadian.
In his private office, on the bookshelves, among his proudly displayed treasures was a Canadian made Traynor 50 watt bass amp head, which a sax player would have almost no use for.
I know amplifiers inside and out having rebuilt and restored every vintage guitar and bass amp every made, Fender, Marshall, Orange, Vox etc. and that particular amp is a guitar players dream. They're built like a tank with an old tweed bassman preamp, 2 EL34 output tubes and massive, heavy duty overkill Hammond transformers that must have cost Ric Traynor a bundle even back in the 70s. All hard wired, no PC boards.
Holograms indeed.
And the dinner jazz crowd over their $50 plates of pasta never knew the difference.
