"Lock her up."

Since when do Americans advocate locking up their political opponents?

Do you forget Scooter Libby?

Democrats have been doing it for a while now. Trumpettes seem to be cut from the same cloth.
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

I get your point about Vdare but your average joe has no idea WTH vdare is.

That's what's so dangerous.  Those average joes will think it a decent site and visit.

And then the skinhead, white nationalist ideology spreads.

Thanks for this thread and the one yesterday.  I just got caught up on today's thread and really appreciate all of the information as well as the comments particularly the observations about the state of our country.  Maybe 2020 is something to look forward to, but I am not convinced that we haven't finally fallen off of the cliff.

I have been disappointed by some of the nominee's in the past, but I would never have called any one of them a liberal. Most of them were not as conservative as I wanted them to be, more moderate or middle of the road.  Each time I went to vote, I sucked it up and pulled the lever.  I have never despised a candidate like I do Donald Trump.  I haven't found anything to like or respect about the man or found a shred of true conservatism in anything he has said or done.

I can honestly say, that I don't yet know what I will do in November.  There will definitely be a lot of thought and payer involved.

Kinda tough when the Democrats controlled the Senate.

That's all we can do, @Victoria33 ......... and maybe that's what God has been telling us to do all along.

I am reevaluating my commitment to the political world.  Is it time well spent?  Or should I devote myself entirely to HIM, realizing that there is now no longer anything but corruption in the US government.

I'm not like others who gave up on the GOP long ago.  I truly believed the party could be reformed.

No longer.   Going with Trump, seeing the establishment Republicans go hand in hand with a corrupt, amoral Democrat like Trump........... it's put me over the edge.

I believe difficult days are ahead for us.  No matter who wins this election, we will be subjected to corruption like we've never seen in our lifetime, and perhaps a form of tyranny.  Our freedoms, which have been eroding, could disappear quickly now.

While others celebrate in their blind devotion to a demagogue, we mourn the loss of America.

I'm thankful there are eternal values far beyond what we've had all our lives in this once beloved country of ours....

Politics is fun and interesting, but nobody should be that impassioned that they let it affect their life. Get some other hobbies or interests. Face is that you're 1 in 350 million people. Impossible for one vote to change much.

In his defense:

In 2010, Trump ally Carl Paladino ran for Governor and made prosecuting longtime political boss Sheldon Silver a major priority, even going as far as to want him put in a cage, dragged upstate, tarred and feathered.

Well, it turns out that Carl was right: Silver was eventually convicted of abusing his office and sent to jail. No tarring or feathering, but a lot of other New York politicians are in the same position.

If Clinton has committed crimes, she absolutely deserves to be "locked up." Those "Hillary for Prison" signs aren't all jokes.

To what end?  There was never any major angst about Hillary when she was in office.

Comey settled that.  At least for a year.  And when Hillary wins, for four years (or eight).

I think we all agree with the crimes and corruption of Hillary, but I feel like they are putting up Al Capone to take on Charles Luciano. Both are corrupt criminals that are part of the criminal enterprise that are destroying the country. Al Capone's kids also gloated over him and said what a great father he was. Al Capone was praised for what he did for his neighborhood, as most old school mobsters were (don't piss in the pot you eat from).

What's worse though is we are being told that we have to ignore all of Capone's crimes and believe he is the greatest, best guy ever, and we can't speak ill of him, oh, and he has yuge hands. All because he isn't Charles Luciano.

Kinda tough when the Democrats controlled the Senate.

While we are at it Ted Kennedy should have gone to jail for Mary Joe.

Louis Lerner life for using the IRS to persecute political enemies.

Bill Clinton for Juanita Broaderick

Bill/ Hillary Clinton for the 900 FBI files

Hillary for email and Benghazi.

Eric Holder for fast and furious.

Janet Reno for Waco.

What a night.  Makes a gal wonder about the meaning of life.  Sigh....My original plan, (after my Gender reassignment surgery) was to find a man like Frank Cannon to live with in a loving lesbian relationship.  After tonights events I have abandoned those plans and decided to join the nunnery.....   Or maybe the Peace Corps.

That, my friend, is a perfect analogy.

Ditto to a point. I'm not depressed, I'm slightly amused watching the game.

Yeah... ^^^ This.

We all knew the convention was a long-shot- As it has proven to  be.

I'm not depressed, or defeated - The simple truth is that my path has narrowed to exactly what we all saw coming.
I'll vote Castle this year, and Conservative down-ticket - Nothing has changed at all...
So yeah... now that I don't have a dog in the Republican hunt, I am free to point and laugh.
It isn't time for 'I tolja so'... That ain't till November and beyond.

Donald Trump Jr is relating an amazing riches to riches story.

I notice he isn't talking about all the values he was taught like getting government subsidies, getting bailed out by the Saudi Royal families and George Soros, taking the property you want, not through good deal making, but through paying off politicians to take it through eminent domain and resell it to you for pennies, like rigging bidding processes by undervaluing properties through fake bankruptcy filings, or filing your own development expenses under shell companies that you later bankrupt and screw your vendors and contractors. That's just the tip of the iceberg.
