Sheriff Clarke to CNN: ‘Anti-Police Rhetoric Is Based on a Lie,’ Obama ‘Has Been Lying’

In a sometimes heated discussion about the recent assassination of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rogue with CNN’s Don Lemon, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke said “this whole anti-police rhetoric is based on a lie” about so-called systemic racism in the police force, and that President Barack Obama “has been lying” about it as well.
In the July 17 interview on CNN Tonight, Sheriff Clarke asked Lemon, “Let me ask you this, do we know that generally the American officers are racist? Do we know this?”
Lemon paused for a few seconds and then said, “Go on.”
“I asked a question,” said Clarke, to which Lemon said, “Do I know American, in general law enforcement is racist?”
