Those of us who for several years tried fruitlessly to get people to stop empowering the GOP, would like to remind all the "Know Betters" that you were told what would happen by continuing to support the liberalism controlling the GOP. You had YEARS to get your heads out of the sand and you refused. You knew better after all.

Reporters are saying that it wasn't even close on the voice vote. The "Nays" had it, but the chair ignored it and went for the "Ayes."

And people wonder why the #NeverTrumps will likely be voting third party or sitting out.

The GOP is digging their own grave... again.

RNC just denied a roll call vote on the rules that were voted on in the rules committee. A 7 state majority delegation petition was required for the vote. ‪#‎NeverTrump‬ has an 11 state majority petition. It was submitted. The RNC rules chair ignored the report, called for an up or down floor vote & immediately declared the rules would be adopted & then the ENTIRE CHAIR LEFT THE STAGE as the OPPOSITION SCREAMED & DEMANDED a roll call vote. They killed the microphones of the opposition & wouldn't allow them to speak. After 5 minutes of chants & screams from the #NeverTrump opposition, they returned to the podium & called for a second vote where it was clear the nay vote was more overwhelming. They then declared the petitions invalid because "3 states withdrew"....FOLKS THAT IS ABSOLUTE BS!!!!!! Mike Lee explicitly said there was an 11 state delegate majority to allow for the roll call.

The rule would've taken the power out of the hands of the RNC & give it back to the grassroots. We the people were denied the power.

Exactly. They had 11. Even if 3 withdrew, they would have had 8, which is still one more than 7 - the number needed for a roll call vote.

The GOPe just denied the voice of the 15 million plus voters who cast votes for someone other than Trump (who only got 13 million votes)- ie, they denied a majority of their voters to simply have a voice.
