Obama: America is not as divided as some suggest

By KATHLEEN HENNESSEY
Associated Press

WARSAW, Poland (AP) -- President Barack Obama on Saturday rejected the notion that this week's stunning violence is a signal that the U.S. has returned to some of the darkest days of its past, saying that as painful as the killings of police and black men were, "America is not as divided as some have suggested."

"Americans of all races and all backgrounds are rightly outraged by the inexcusable attacks on police, whether it's in Dallas or anyplace else," Obama said from Warsaw, Poland, where he attended a NATO summit.

"That includes protesters. It includes family members who have grave concerns about police conduct and they've said that this is unacceptable," Obama added. "There's no division there."

I have to agree with Imam Obama, America isn't as divided as some people think.  Since he has taken office, it more divided them some people think - including him. :peeonobama: 10631

Obama has no problem saying all sorts of contradictory things.  It is the way of the postmoderns.  He embracse contradiction because it makes lies so much easier.  Obama will say whatever he feels he needs to say to serve his purpose at the moment.  He will say it oh so calmly.  I wonder if he isn't a borderline personality.

You could cross his name out and put in Hillary and you would have the same thing.

You would be hard-pressed to find anyone who has expended more words and energy trying to divide the American people by race, class and religious affiliation than Barack Hussein Obama.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

...divide the American people by race, class and religious affiliation...

That was true before Obama was elected and it'll be true long after he leaves office.

That punk-assed mac daddy has done everything he can to foment resentment, hatred, and division between any possible groups based on age, race, religion, national origin, sexual preferences, eating habits, geography, and a host of other things I can't think of at the moment. He has given criminals a pass while accusing the innocent of the most vile, fed the parasites while carving off chunks of what should have been the prosperity of the productive and done all he can to eliminate that prosperity. In one way, though, he has been a unifying influence. I think a significant number of Americans have little good to say about him.
In the meantime, race relations in America are the worst they have been since the 60s.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
