An already terrible time for law enforcement is going from bad to worse.  Police reported Friday that another African-American male attempted to shoot police.   The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says that 37-year-old Lakeem Keon Scott was armed with both an automatic style rifle and a handgun.    Scott also had a large amount of ammunition.  It looks like he intended to kill several people.

Scott opened fire in Bristol Tennessee. He wounded one police officer and 2 others, and killed a 4th. Jennifer Rooney was a newspaper carrier for her local community.
Local media reports are extremely conflicting. ABC reported the crime was racially motivated and similar to Dallas. The attacker was upset at the two recent police shootings of black men. After the initial reports, wjhl appears to suggest the police are not implying any racial motivation, while abc and cbs are:

Scott survived the shooting and is expected to recover. He is currently being questioned by police as they try to make sense of this senseless shooting…

In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
More than any other time in history, mankind faces a crossroads. One path leads to despair and utter hopelessness. The other, to total extinction. Let us pray we have the wisdom to choose correctly.-Woody Allen
If God invented marathons to keep people from doing anything more stupid, the triathlon must have taken him completely by surprise.

There is no such thing as an "automatic style rifle."
