Never really thought that maybe Bill doesn't want Hillary to win. He doesn't want to give up his grandpa playboy lifestyle at his age and go back to the White House where things are far more controlled and stressful.

Quote
Frank Luntz says he can't conceive a reason for former President Bill Clinton getting on Attorney General Loretta Lynch's plane for a private meeting while his wife Hillary Clinton is under investigation by the Justice Department other than "sabotage."

"Bill Clinton has to have known the impact that it would have if he got on that plane," Luntz said on Friday's FOX & Friends. "I don't understand why he would do it except that once again it's like sabotage. That there's something about him, that even though he says he works so hard for his wife that on those key moments he seems to do her so much damage.".....

Nope Frank.  Simply Slick Willie has always thought he was above the law.

It wouldn't surprise me if BJ doesn't want his bride in the Presidents Club.

But I'm also wondering if he's concerned about what the FBI's email investigation uncovered about his "foundation".   :pondering:

I wouldn't risk a lot of money on betting Hillary will be indicted.

Odds are Obama has the Pardons already drafted for the Clintons.

I've never thought that Bill wanted Hill to win.  Too many "missteps" from a supremely political animal to be mere chance.   And, why would he?  Why would he want to become Hill's First man?  And, it would really cramp his style.

Good point.

The oil Company ExxonMobil faced dual NY /CA AG lawsuits for global warming right after they decided to quit paying donations (tribute) to the Clinton Foundation.  Both those AG's are close Clinton allies and operatives.  (Shocking...  /s)

You really think so?  I thought all along that he would love to be back in the Oral Office....even if just as THE very first 1st Ho (Bubba ain't no Lady).  Bubba likes being first, ya know.

LOL...You really think this sleazy dim POTUS, FBI, and Justice Dept, will even remotely have a chance of handing down an indictment?

I'll give it 1-50 chance.

Oh, heck, no!  He's got it great now - venerated ex-president, the energizer bunny visits often in Chappaquiddick, golf whenever he wants, etc.  You really think he wants to play second fiddle to his wife, live with his wife, take second place in the "legacy" category, and have the possibility of press scrutiny again?  No way.  I just don't see it.

Look at it from the Worm's point of view.

He really, really hates Hillary - probably more than he's ever hated someone in his misbegotten life.
If Hillary gets indicted, it kills her presidential run, thus losing a huge liability on the Dem side. She is hugely unpopular.
Her replacement comes in with 100% "clean" hands.
The Republicans can be trashed for the entire mess.

It's a no lose scenario for a party that thinks in terms of spending generations to achieve their goals.

There has been talk that Bill has dementia so maybe that's why he did something so destructive.

You could be right.  Never thought about it that way.  Depends on if Bubba's ego is bigger than his penchant for corruption.  Odds are....you probably are right, come to think of it...lolol.

Yes, but he did this the first time she ran too.  It's destructive, but not to Bill, only to Hill's campaign.

Would make a great movie script, but I think slick willies desire to set up shop at the WH outweighs his hatred of his bitch spouse.

He is also calculating the foundation cash rake in too, if he can operate from the White House.

Would be shocked if she was indicted.  Also remember the scandal blend over to the ticket if he was yanked off.   Shades of 1976.

You just have to love the NY Post

That is one of the best headlines in recent memory.

I am torn about what Slick is up to. I can see him wanting to sabotage the hateful creature he is "married" to and not wanting the scrutiny he would have while living in the WH, but the draw of being able to live that lavish life with unlimited world travel on the taxpayer's dime might be irresistible.

Maybe.  Or maybe Bill's mind is going, and he can't keep his impulsive nature under control anymore.  It doesn't explain his visit with Lynch -- that sounds to me more like a political deal being made.  But for the rest of it, Bill's destructive (if self-serving) behavior seems more like dementia than anything else.

Somehow, I have become cynical - and that is something I have never been.

He wanted to torpedo Lynch being on the case.  That much is obvious to me.  The question is why.  She may have, in fact, telegraphed she was in favor of indictment.  Could this have been the Hail Mary for Hillary?  Geeze - those words should never go together.

Every single leadership course I ever attended while I was in the Navy, and believe me I attended a bunch of 'em, stressed over and over how anyone in a leadership position must avoid even the appearance of impropriety.

There is no way this was a random meeting.  This had to be coordinated in some way, or Bill Clinton tried to ambush the Attorney General.  In any case it is difficult to believe that Loretta Lynch is being allowed to get away with what amounts to criminal misconduct on behalf of either her, the former President, or both.  Under any other circumstances the Attorney General would have already been fired or at least had the good sense to resign.

This is not an excuse to derail the FBI investigation by trying to insert a Special Prosecutor at this late date.  That may come later but not now, because it would require the investigation to start all over again, from the beginning, which means it would be well into a Clinton first term before anything was ever known, if then.

Let's see where this goes.

When I first heard of the incident, I wondered if it was an ambush.  Bill Clinton could have indeed pulled that off.

It wasn't Bill who summoned Loretta to that meeting.

He was invited there to be "a messenger".

The question is: what was the message?

Brings to mind the scene in "The Godfather, Part II" in which Tom Hagen pays a visit to Pentangeli and suggests what his future should be...  ;)

Or perhaps the message to Hillary was that if she wishes to remain "a free woman", perhaps her candidacy should take a message from this:

When I first heard of the incident, I wondered if it was an ambush.  Bill Clinton could have indeed pulled that off.

They didn't call him Slick Willie back in Arkansas for nothing.  There were people in Arkansas that voted for him for President just to get him the hell out of the State once and for all.  Him and his little woman.

I'm thinking the most likely explanation for this is an ambush by Bill.  I really don't believe Loretta Lynch is anything like Eric Holder, and he was Bill Clinton's favorite niggah from way  back.  Loretta Lynch is cut from different cloth, and I believe she would have locked the door on the plane if she knew how.  I am pretty sure she knew from the get-go how damaging this could be if the press found out, and she did it anyway.  She damned well knew better and she has permanently stained her reputation.

"A wise man does immediately what the fool does finally"  -- Nietzsche

Loretta Lynch is damaged goods and cannot remain as Attorney General.  20 years ago this kind of behavior would be a firing offense and if a resignation did not come immediately, Congress, the Senate in particular, would be clamoring for raw flesh until the AG resigned.

Won't hold my breath on that one, but let's see where this goes...
