It seems silly, but little things like this add up to really paint a picture of the ethics of the guy.

Did Donald Trump violate IRS rules, by using a charity's money to buy himself a signed football helmet?

Four years ago, at a charity fundraiser in Palm Beach, Donald Trump got into a bidding war at the evening's live auction. The items up for sale: A Denver Broncos helmet, autographed by then-star quarterback Tim Tebow, and a Tebow jersey.

Trump won, eventually, with a bid of $12,000. Afterward, he posed with the helmet. His purchase made gossip-column news: a flourish of generosity, by a mogul with money to burn. "The Donald giveth, and The Donald payeth," wrote the Palm Beach Daily News. "Blessed be the name of The Donald."

But Trump didn't actually pay with his own money.

Instead, the Susan G. Komen organization — the breast-cancer nonprofit that hosted the party — got a $12,000 payment from another nonprofit , the Donald J. Trump Foundation.....

I wonder if people who are about to jump defending Trump on this realize that they essentially are also defending similar shenanigans the Clintons do with their own charity?

How Donald Trump Used His Tax Exempt Charity As A Personal Piggy Bank

Charity begins at home.

That is a platitude that Donald Trump lives by. When you look at his record of charitable giving and his loaning money to his campaign, so he can repay himself from donor money, rather than donating to the campaign, the picture of Donald Trump as a money-grubbing, greedy, money-grubbing, insincere, money-grubbing liar and opportunist emerges......

Hillary Used Foundation as ‘Personal Piggy Bank’

he Clinton Foundation is ‘a vast, criminal conspiracy’ and ‘a slush fund for grifters’ with thousands of honest people who are victims after contributing their hard-earned money to what they believed would be used for philanthropic causes.

In truth, the money that was donated to help earthquake victims in India and Haiti and HIV/AIDs sufferers in the Third World has mostly enriched the Clintons and their friends through scams spanning the globe, claims author Jerome Corsi in his book, Partners in Crime: The Clintons’ Scheme to Monetize the White House for Personal Profit, which will be published in August....

Donald Trump’s ‘Charity’ Is a Money-Making Scam

Not only does the GOP frontrunner avoid giving any of his own money to charity, he manages to make some serious profits from his ‘donations.’

No wonder Donald Trump calls himself an ardent philanthropist.

He has likely made millions off it.

He is not just some cheap miser who avoids digging into his pocket for charity, as The Smoking Gun and The Washington Post have described him.

What a wonderful election.  We'll have one candidate under investigation for breaking the law with her home brew server and the other candidate under investigation for breaking the law with his taking personal benefits from charities he controls.  And possibly for illegal campaign contributions if the complaint against him at the FEC gets any traction.

Which criminal do you want to vote for in November?

This is just one thing, there are many many stories of him using the foundation to reward business partners and stuff. He has been using this "charity" as a slush fund for a long time

You can pretty much count on an indictment one week before the election if Trump is the nominee.
