Christie has received the official paperwork for the vetting process, according to a source with knowledge of the process.

Trump has said he intends to announce his vice presidential nominee at the Republican National Convention in July in Cleveland.
The New York Times was first to report Christie's vetting.

Though Christie ran against Trump in the GOP primary, the two have been long-time friends and Christie quickly endorsed Trump and became a reliable presence at his events after dropping out of the race. The New Jersey governor has been one of Trump's highest-profile surrogates, continually defending him against critics.

That will do WONDERS to get Conservatives on board the Trump train.


Well, I did suggest that they continue to pander to Bernie supporters for help.  This is a step in that direction.

So much for Trump being the "anti-Establsihment candidate".

Now watch the Trump militant come out to hail and glorify this potential outcome as brilliant and exactly what will unify the party.

It's a freaking train wreck.

This makes perfect sense, Trump is a master promoter, but needs cash for his campaign and that's were the corpulent one comes in. The Huckster has lot's of experience fleecing the gullible masses selling medical quackery to desperate people, this would be right up his alley fleecing the the gullible masses again only  this time he'd be shilling political quackery.

Yeah, I almost feel sorry for him.  This campaign season has totally ruined him and he was somewhat respected prior to this.

He did make a couple of huge mistakes... one, playing huggy buddy to Obama and two, letting that stupid bridge thing get out of hand.

Those mistakes could have been overcome and left him with some respect politically.

He has been totally diminished and made to look a complete fool by aligning himself with Trump.  Trump has shown him no respect.
