Great to see it! The prosecution never proved its corruption case under bribery law, even given the broad interpretation under which it operated. Plus, let's not forget that judge's despicable "instructions" to the jurors to convict even if they only have a level of belief in the possibility of guilt. WTH ever happened to guilt beyond a reasonable doubt?? Would anyone who opposes yesterday's SCOTUS decision want their fate decided by a jury instructed that it only needed to reach the low threshold of a belief in the possibility of guilt?
That alone should've been cause to overturn it. If there's a next time in this case, the prosecution and judge would be well-advised to observe and follow Constitutional law for a change.
