Texas will secede after Scotland breaks from UK.
I am waiting.

I was born in Texas and lived here all my life except for one year in Missouri.  What is this with saying Texas will secede?  I see it all over the net saying if Scotland leaves Britain, Texas leaves the US.  That is nuts.

Not really nuts; I see it within the realm of possibility.  As a sovereign country (2014), Texas would be the 12th largest economy in the world by GDP (ahead of South Korea and Australia). Texas has a gross state product of $1.648 trillion (2014) the second highest in the U.S. In 2012, Texas grossed more than $264.7 billion a year in exports.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

After sending $1.5M of my hard earned money (income taxes) to DC in my life, and still watch these idiots still get us $19T in debt.............

I haven't gotten my monies worth, and I'd like to try something new, even if it meant giving  up my pittance  of SS to have Texas leave the US.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
