Trump shifts immigration plan: No 'mass deportations'

By Jessie Hellmann

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump appeared to soften his tone on immigration Saturday, saying he wouldn't issue mass deportations if president.

"President Obama has mass deported vast numbers of people — the most ever, and it's never reported. I think people are going to find that I have not only the best policies, but I will have the biggest heart of anybody," Trump said in an interview with Bloomberg Politics Saturday.
Pressed on whether he would issue mass deportations as he has called for in the past, Trump said: "No, I would not call it mass deportations."

"We are going to get rid of a lot of bad dudes who are here. That I can tell you," Trump said.

Throughout his campaign, Trump has promised to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexican border and deport all 11 million people living in the country illegally.

In November, shortly after he launched his presidential campaign, Trump said he would build a "deportation force" to ship those in the country illegally back to their home countries

Is Belgium a terrorist state (he called it a "city" last week)?

  How about France?

And how is he going to determine who's a Muslim?

A nothing burger. There is no need to depot all of the illegals. Should have studied history. Only need to remove the incentives to stay and deport a small percent.

There will be no need to deport the executed "Mexicans," and UK assassins.

Actually hes consistent with his position statement that was posted months ago. So as usual the lame stream press and #neverTrump are flapping around making up stuff again.

Did you read it? They did not do mass deports either. No need too. The Plan Trump has outlined in his position statement for the most part mirrors it.

This is no great surprise if you've read his campaign website.  There was never any plan for deporting the "non-criminal" illegals.  There was never any plan for letting them back in with some "expedited" process.  Those were things he said off the cuff at his rallies and he saw the positive response he got from it, so he kept saying them. It really isn't a flip flop.  He just flat out lied at his rallies.  This seems to be his MO.

No he did not lie at his rallies. Look at history, His plan for the most part mirrors operation wetback. In that historical plan they did not do a mass deport. They did a small percent and removed incentives and punished helpers of illegals here. The result was mass self-deportation. Its called being smart about it, Not every solution requires the use of force.

He continues to flip flop on all the issues that catapulted him to getting the majority .... lies ... lies... and more lies.  In case anyone was listening; several months ago, he flip-flopped on the wall as well ... he stated so to the mayor of Laredo, TX.

Let's review.  He's flip-flopped on illegal immigration/deportation, Muslims, 2nd amendment/gun control and the border wall.  His liberalism continues to shine through.  So yes, he and Hillary are the same, however,  I believe Trump to be more dangerous.

You're right, it wasn't at the rallies, it was during an interview.  We're going to have a "deportation force".

Yes a deportation force is not the same as a mass deportation. Same thing in Operation Wetback, they upped the number of US Agents.

According to Trump, all Mexicans are rapists.  Therefore, all Mexicans will be deported as they are all criminals.

Nor can any Mexican, or anyone descended from a Mexican... ever stop being anything but Mexican, according to Trump.

Just look at Judge Curiel.

Really?  What was the point of the increased number of US agents during Operation Wetback?

I'm laughing at your lame attempts to obfuscate the truth regarding your prince.

Perception being reality - the Trump Militant has repeatedly trumpeted their insistent belief that your champion is going to build a wall, deport all illegals, shut down all Muslim immigration and support the second Amendment.  The fact he plans to build a wall with a great beautiful big door for touchback amnesty, no more mass deportations, only limited muslim screenings and calls for gun control flies right in the face of what the Trump Militant hopes and dreams.

The reality is that your Chosen has flopped on all of those positions they insist Trump will do, and changed them repeatedly.  The fact Trump declared his policies *suggestions* was vociferously defended by you as smart and intelligent while we saw it as more proof your anointed has no principles except to his own ego.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775
