No, I am praying that the conservatives in the Party come to their senses in time to dump Trump at the Convention.

If they aren't able to, I will review my options.  But it is a cheap shot to accuse me of voting for Hillary.  I have hated her for 20 years.  It's totally incredible that we nominated someone worse.

Sorry, I had to ask.

Points that need to be pounded again and again......

'Hillary Clinton has perfected the politics of personal profit and theft.

She ran the State Department like her own personal hedge fund – doing favors for oppressive regimes, and many others, in exchange for cash.'

Paul Manafort did favors for oppressive regimes in exchange for cash.  For YEARS!

Last time I checked, he wasn't in the contest.

BTW: I know what Cruz says [he my senator] but, his wife is part of the globalist cartel. I doubt he was willing to make the real changes necessary.

Oh, puleese.  Line is straight from Free Republic.  Trump has more unholy connections with the 'globalist cartel' than Heidi.

Heidi simply got a good job at a large corporation.  Unlike Trump's wives and girlfriends, Heidi did not earn money from beauty contests or from sleeping with rich guys.  Like many wives now, she needed a job and got one.

It is beyond lame to accuse a woman of being part of an evil cartel when she simply had a job.

Trump, however, dealt with many crooked firms.  Goldman Sachs was one of the firms he dealt with, although there is no proof that it is crooked.

Those are flatly overlooked by those who would dismiss Trump. Like they don't even care.

Well, the media is a whole lot different from when Hillary was pulling her first scams - back in Watergate times - people only got to read what actually made it into the mainstream news.  The truth was covered up.  Its a whole new day with bloggers searching out info and getting it out to the electorate.

Hopefully people will bother to check the political sites as often as they check their facebook pages.

You did not HAVE to ask, but it is the ONLY weapon Trump supporters have now.

Yes, ... people won't have to check political sites ... it will be all over the news, and yes, that is partly due to Trump.

On the other hand, Trump's faithful media that handed him the nomination, has now turned on him.  He's still news but it's all bad news now.

If you're talking about Heidi Cruz working for Goldman-Sachs, Trumps Financial Director worked for Goldman Sachs for 17 years.
So, if anybody's global cartel, it's him.  And Trump too, for that matter.

The more they attack Ted and his wife and other conservatives the less I think they are sane.

Baloney.  Nothing is "rigged."

There is no "system."  There is your life and my life and the choices we make. Some people work harder than others, which is why there are more upper-income people now than ever (which is one of the reasons the middle-class is shrinking).

Complainers are usually those who are envious that there are people who have more money than they do.

Choices. Choices. Choices.

That's an elitist POV. Makes me proud to be an American. 8)

You know as well as I that the deck is stacked against American workers with these corrupt trade deals, the off-shoring, taxes and giving jobs to illegals and foreigners. There's 94+ million people not working who could be. Siding with the Globalists is continuing the progression of a Socialist One World Government.

There are posters here who said they would vote for Hillary, so, yeah I did.

Sorry I missed this post.

I haven't been at FR for 8 years so, throwing that line in my face mean nothing to me.

How many of those banks are financing Trump's campaign?

I voted Ted, BTW... for the Senate and in the primary.

Trump: We're both lying, corrupt frauds, it's true, it's true, we are.... but she is the biggest lying, crooked fraud in this campaign. Let me tell you, I'd never bang her, she's an awful person, I know I said she was terrific and that she did a great job as Secretary of State, and gave her a bunch of money, but I was wrong back then in my youthful exuberance... now I know better, I'd never give her six-figures again, she's not even a 6....

Honestly, this is enough to make me puke! Both of them are liars, frauds, criminals, cheaters and they deserve to be held accountable and eliminated from ever holding public office period.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

No, those statements are weighed against Trump's statements.  Trump's statements are viewed as causing greater and longer lasting damage to the United States than Hillary's.

(Mexico is connected by land to the United States.)

Pathetic snark attempt.  "Overseas" can mean "foreign" without being across the sea.

"Trump positioned himself as a populist fighting against an opponent with global interests disinterested in fighting for the American people first."

:bullie smokin:

from the speech:
'We got here because we switched from a policy of Americanism – focusing on what’s good for America’s middle class – to a policy of globalism, focusing on how to make money for large corporations who can move their wealth and workers to foreign countries all to the detriment of the American worker and the American economy.

We reward companies for offshoring, and we punish companies for doing business in America and keeping our workers employed.

This is not a rising tide that lifts all boats.

This is a wave of globalization that wipes out our middle class and our jobs.'

Agree entirely. The only difference is sometimes Trump says things I agree with.

The question remains, though, is he telling the truth?

Say what you want about Cruz voting for increased H1B limits or several of his arguably controversial votes in the Senate or the fact he got too deep in the weeds with Trump in the latter part of the primaries or that he combs his hair funny, but there are several LIES regarding Cruz I wish we could agree to do away with for their complete lack of basis in reality. This is one big one.

Except that he has now given a speech without a gaffe (that I know of) and it will be treated as if it were the greatest speech in the history of mankind! *echoes*..

Everything he said about Hillary was true, everything she said about him was too. lol

Sorry, I had to ask.

Why, when you know it's a pathetic question?

And you also know that you are supporting a liberal who's a friend of Hillary's anyway..... if anyone should be asked about supporting Hillary, shouldn't you be the one being asked and not the other way around?

At any rate, it's a cheap shot, and you know it.

And yet, it's what you do, isn't it?  Make cheap shots (and racist personal attacks on other posters).....

Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

Everything he said applied just as much to himself.

And I really hate hypocrites.

Using a candidate of such a very low character to fight low character is the absolute height of the absurd.
It is expecting the fox to police the hen house, because he knows all the tricks... The problem of course, is self-evident.

You will rue the day. Not a prediction, but an academic fact.

I remember saying that it was a mistake to choose Romney as he was the father of RomneyCare... which was the template for ObamaCare.  That choosing him destroyed our ability to campaign on the issue.

And it did... and we lost.

It's four years later and I'm saying it's a mistake to choose a candidate that embodies corruption, as it destroys our ability to campaign on the issue.  (Among other issues that I have with the POS.)

Doing the same thing again and again, expecting a different result... is the height of insanity.
