Being a lawyer has absolutely nothing to do with Ted Cruz's readiness for the presidency. If it did, the constitution and contemporary writings of the founders would have reflected that preference; just as there is no prerequisite requirement that a Supreme Court justice be a lawyer.
The founders abhorred the thought of professional politicians. They wanted citizens to step up and serve in government...and then GO HOME.
Donald Trump is eminently equipped to be president. No doubt about it. By the way, you missed the part in my post about Donald Trump having built an empire. That took a lot of organizational skills and management savvy. Just thought I'd help you out locating it.
Cruz isn't just a lawyer, as has been pointed out to you by others on this thread. He is a Constitutional lawyer and scholar; his arguments before the Supreme Court on the behalf U.S. sovereignty, religious liberty, and 2nd Amendment rights have had results beyond his home state of Texas. His life to date has been committed to returning the government to the Constitution.
Cruz has held various positions in the private sector, as has been noted and as you conceded, which exclude him from your accusation that he is a "professional politician." The reality is that he is only now running for his second term as Senator, which may very well propel him to another run at the presidency; the only reason you have a problem with this is because you somehow feel Cruz is a threat to Trump. It's amazing, really. Your guy has the nomination, and you still can't stop seething over Cruz.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, is an amoral habitual liar, a sleaze, and a conman. He is ignorant of the Constitution and of the principles of small government and personal liberty. He rode the coattails of his father's success and took advantage of the elder Trump's influence as long he as he could because he simply wasn't a good enough businessman to get by on his own. I could provide you with other links, as I did in my earlier post, but I doubt they would be read anymore than the first one was. You're intent on believing that your reality-show celebrity is the tycoon of the world...which, as I said, wouldn't make him any more fit for the presidency if it were true.
I have to admit, I'd really like to hear you describe, in specific detail, why Trump is "eminently equipped to be president."
