Yeah, I think the same.  You can't go after a guy's wife and father, and then expect him to endorse you.  I'd lose a lot of respect for Cruz if he did.  At the same time, he could still go hard after Hillary without kissing Trump's butt.  That might be enough.

It would be an injustice to his wife and father, IMO, if Cruz endorsed a man who smeared them with feces.

If Cruz would like to run for President in 2020, it may not be in his best interest to help Trump defeat Clinton this year.
