Hillary Clinton admitted that there were a few instances of improper disclosures of donations to the Clinton Foundation while she was secretary of state.
In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Wednesday, Clinton said, “We had absolutely overwhelming disclosure. Were there one or two instances that slipped through the cracks? Yes. But was the overwhelming amount of anything that anybody gave the foundation disclosed? Absolutely.” (VIDEO: Hillary Won’t Say If Elected President She Would Have Bill Step Down From Foundation)
During the interview, Cooper said, “The foundation has obviously raised huge sums of money… it’s always not been transparent though: tens of millions of dollars have come from a Canadian partnership whose donors can remain secret. There was a large donation from Algeria that wasn’t submitted to State Department for approval.”
The Daily Caller News Foundation reports that the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust filed an ethics complaint against Clinton, asking the Office of Government Ethics to conduct a “full investigation” into Clinton’s “apparent breach of ethics rules.”
