Here’s what’s happened since: He’s wasted time, proved to be a sore winner and veered sharply off message. He’s put a higher premium on settling scores than finding a script that will appeal to a wider, general-election audience. Will it cost him?

None of this is any different than how he behaved during the entire primary season.  He hasn't veered in any different direction.

It’s been almost five weeks since Donald Trump’s victory in Indiana made him the presumptive Republican nominee.

Here’s what’s happened since: He’s wasted time, proved to be a sore winner and veered sharply off message. He’s put a higher premium on settling scores than finding a script that will appeal to a wider, general-election audience. Will it cost him?

Trump no doubt takes comfort in national polls that show a close contest against Hillary Clinton. Over the past month, her lead has shrunk dramatically. Bernie Sanders runs better against Trump than she does, although the senator from Vermont has no easy way of becoming the Democratic nominee. Trump, who consumes polls like candy, must like what he sees, but he should still be asking how he gets to an electoral college majority.

continued

Which message? The one about a wall with a border or the one with touchback amnesty negating it's reason to exist?

The one about Hillary being a great pol/person or the one that says she's a liar?

The one about Ted Cruz being a liar or the one where we love him?

The one that Obamacare being bad or, Sorry conservatives, the one where it's governments responsibility to provide healthcare?

WHICH CONTRADICTORY MESSAGE IS HE OFF TODAY?

Trump's supporters must be frantic about how to reclaim their integrity and formulate an exit strategy from the train wreck. I still hope the GOP acts at the convention and nominates a sane person.

People with integrity wouldn't be supporting an unrepentant liar. At no point in the history of man has integrity been equated with support of lies, fraud, racism, destroying good men and women or keeping a stable of friends that include pedophiles, convicted felons, or the entirety of the Clinton/Soros clans.

If this was any other person than CANDIDATE Donald Trump, every one of his supporters would puke at the notion of aligning their names with such a person. But they did align themselves with him. If they don't like having it pointed out, so be it. But the truth is the truth.

There is no integrity in the support of this man. If there is, someone can point it out exactly, with evidence, and I will retract.

They are hoping he will hand out little orange Asherah poles???

Your reference to Asherah poles is on the money.

That's exactly what's going on.....   **nononono*

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

He is like the highly rated college quarterback who is drafted in the first round by a NFL team and refuses to accept that he is now competing at a different level.

No coincidence that Donny Football is headed  to Cleveland, huh?   :silly:

Had Hillary not run do you really think he would be running for President???

Not at all. The Clintons need to stay out of jail. Trump needs political favors. His running is an in-kind campaign contribution.

If they had integrity they would not have voted for Trump in the first place.  What Trump is doing and saying now is no different than what he has been doing and saying throughout the campaign.  They had know what he believes all along.
