Makers of “Idiocracy” To Launch Anti-Trump Ads

This will probably be the only good thing to come out of this busted election cycle, where we have no good choices and those of us who have fought to maintain the nation’s dignity are left to wonder how we sank so far.

The writers and creator of the 2006 movie, “Idiocracy” are teaming up with President Camacho, himself, Terry Crews, to do a series of anti-Trump ads.

Etan Cohen and Mike Judge will be satirizing Trump and his cultists, who bear a striking resemblance to President Camacho and his constituents.

From the Washington Examiner:

“At first, the similarities between Trump and Camacho were ‘just a general lizard brain kind of thing: The presidency is all about entertainment value,’ Cohen told BuzzFeed News. ‘Then it started to get, as the year went on, weirdly specific. People pointing out things like, ‘Oh, Camacho was a wrestler and Trump was a wrestler … It’s like, the more things go on, the more it actually seems to be kind of merging in a very specific, eerie way.’”

From the beginning, I’ve compared the Trump phenomena to the movie, “Idiocracy.” There is no other way to describe what is going on. We’ve reached a level of celebrity worship and dulled down mental capabilities, rendering large swaths of voters to little more than babbling, poo-flinging chimps.

“’They both seem to be intent on destroying the world. But maybe Camacho more accidentally?’ Cohen offered. ‘The most dangerous contrast to Trump is that Camacho actually realizes he needs advice from other people, and knows that he’s not the smartest guy in the room. Also, not a racist.’”

I’d say Cohen summed the situation up nicely.

Atheists must be having seven fits. We now have unarguable proof in the existance of God.

The makers of Idiocracy coming out with this has to be an act of God. This whole scenario is simply too perfect for humans to come up with.

Nope, it was literal. I can easily picture God sitting there looking down and thinking "Well, it fits. Lets do it!"

And when the cool factor of electing a TV star is over and the rose colored glasses ripped off the public eyes, I think there will be a LOT of very regretful people. Thats why leftist/authoritarian types historically all strive to destroy comedy or control it. Because Alynski saw the obvious. Ridicule is the most potent weapon.
