Trump did not disappoint- he referred to himself in the third person- said "I am winning" repeatedly until he realized it and corrected himself, and reiterated his unworkable plans to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US as well as his stance on starting a trade war.
I guess some people love him but those unfavorable ratings are pretty high.
Trump's rally style takes some getting used to,
@austingirl Be assured Trump always refers to his winning as our winning.... and his supporters know when he wins, we win. But I do understand that his speaking style is not that of a politician's---for sure. ^-^ Trump speaks to each person in the crowd---he does not lecture or preach-- and each person in the crowd responds as though they're in their living room listening to an familiar and good friend. It is part of the bond between the two.
I think part of your reaction to him is you've not heard anything but sound bites and brief speeches from him. I post links to his rallies in the TCG --- and they're still there for anyone who wants to watch a replay of a rally. (Just sayin' ^-^ )
But rest assured Trump is capable of giving a traditional "political" speech, when the moment calls for it. IMHO, one of the best examples of this is his speech to AIPAC earlier this year. It was a terrific speech and extraordinarily well-received. So well, in fact, that anything with "Trump" on it sold out at the convention!
I've included a link to that speech below as a reminder.
My point is: You may not like Trump's style .... and that's okay .... but, please, don't let that intrude on fully hearing his message.
