Plotting a general election strategy against Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton’s advisers joke that their challenge feels like Lucille Ball’s in the famed chocolate factory episode of “I Love Lucy.”

As truffles fly down a conveyor belt, Lucy frantically tries to wrap each one before they pass. Falling behind, she stuffs some under her hat, down her blouse and in her mouth. For the Clinton campaign, the conveyor belt is Trump’s mouth and Twitter feed — and the chocolates are his inflammatory statements.

In the three weeks since the celebrity mogul became the Republican Party’s presumptive presidential nominee, Clinton and her sprawling bureaucracy of a campaign have struggled to keep pace with Trump’s unremitting medley of savage attacks, unorthodox policy pronouncements and casual misstatements.

An interesting theory.  It does seem to shed a little insight onto the fire hose that has been Trump this campaign.  It will work only as long as she thinks she needs to respond to this stuff, and he might be on to something because she seems like the type who can't resist swinging at every pall that comes at the catcher.

Trump seems to be basing his whole campaign on attacking Clinton's past.  If she tries to keep talking policy while having her surrogates attack his past then we'll see which strategy works.

The conveyor belt has been running, from the start. When needed they plow right over responses with the next item, and the next item.

Darn, they just won't slow down, and play fair.

I remember a few days ago, when Trump was up bright and early, interviewed with British media, before his detractors and opponents could digest and respond to yesterday's developments.

Remember, he doesn't drink, needs little sleep, and starts his days early.

Remember when he characterized Jeb Bush for being sleepy, lazy ?? Now you know what Trump was thinking, and it worked..

It football it is a "no huddle" or "hurry up" offense. In war it is a Blitzkreig (easy lob for those resorting to Hitler).
