Say what you will, but Donald Trump now has something no Republican POTUS candidate has had since 2004 - a lead.

Didn't Romney have a lead in the polls for a while in 2012? Fleischer's wrong.

Either way, the real testimony here is how badly Hillary Clinton is still hated in this country that Republicans will even vote for Donald Trump solely to stop her from becoming President. (It's still kind of foolish if you ask me, but still.)

I think McCain also held a brief lead until the economy collapsed.

In any event, the Democrats are still in the midst of a nasty primary.  After Sanders endorses Hillary, reality will set in.

Nonsense.  Both McCain and Romney led at various points, Romney at many, especially in October.

In '08, GOP had a nominee and Dems were still fighting it out:

Fleischer admitted he was wrong:

I stand corrected.  My tweet about Trump's lead in the polls was wrong. Romney did lead in RCP at several points.

All the fapping on the national polls today.  Who led in May?
2012: Romney
2008: McCain
2004: Tied
1992: Bush
1988: Dukakis +17
