Fairly read, isn't the bolded language functionally equivalent to a "no?".
Or better still, is his answer really the "shocking, disturbing" answer promised by the headline?
No, it is not a firm "no." It's a bit of a deflection. You have found nowhere where stumpy says plainly, "no." That is what is shocking, that the alleged Republican nominee cannot unequivocally say "no" to a socialist/communist being his running mate.
Unless you see that both men are from slightly different wings of the Uniparty. One is a socialist communist, the other is a national socialist.
