Maryland Trump Delegate Charged With Child Pornography, Possession of Illegal Weapons and ExplosivesBY: Natalie Johnson May 20, 2016 10:31 am
http://freebeacon.com/politics/pornography/A Maryland delegate for the GOP’s presumptive nominee Donald Trump was charged Friday with child pornography offenses and the illegal possession of and machine gun and explosives.
Trump’s campaign said Caleb Bailey would be “replaced immediately” after a federal grand jury indicted him Wednesday following a three-month long investigation.
Federal agents last month raided Bailey’s home and alleged that the 30-year-old “attempted to use and did use a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce child pornography.” Bailey was also charged with the possession of child pornography.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives began the probe in February after Bailey tried mailing ammunition and explosives through the U.S. Postal Service. CNN reported that the package “ruptured open” at a postal site in Maryland, leading the ATF to investigate.
