The president of Guatemala has offered Donald Trump "cheap labor" to build a wall on the border of the United States and Mexico.
"We have high-quality labor, and we'll gladly build," President Jimmy Morales said in a Facebook Live interview conducted by The New York Times en Espanol, reported The Hill.
"Tell us the dimensions, and we know how to do it," said Morales.
Morales was a popular TV comedian in Guatemala, where he appeared on the show, "Moralejas" (English translation: "Morals") for 15 years.
He won the presidency of Guatemala in October 2015, after former Guatemalan President Otto Perez Molina was jailed in a corruption scandal, according to the Independent newspaper.
Morales said he believes legalizing undocumented immigrants will help the U.S., because they will "contribute and pay more taxes."
Morales said Guatemala is losing talented workers to the U.S., and he is at work on programs to encourage them to stay in Guatemala.
Morales is facing an uncertain path toward reforming Guatemala, according to ForeignPolicy.com. The story reports that he has not changed the economic status quo that resulted in poverty in the country.
Morales met with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to discuss "sustainable development and human rights," according to Shanghai Daily.
