In an interview with Breitbart News Daily on Sirius XM Radio, Trump ally Roger Stone suggested that a Trump administration ought to shut CNN down because they peddle propaganda and censor reporting that does not suit their narrative.

The remarks came in the context of a discussion where Stone described stories that he said CNN had muzzled, in which Bill Clinton assaulted women and Hillary Clinton was instrumental in discrediting his accusers.

CNN, Stone averred, “is not an news organization but an advocacy group.” The network “will literally pull the cord on your microphone — they turn you off.”

Friendly piece of advice for the Trump campaign: you need to put a muzzle on this twerp and formally disavow him. Rinse. And repeat.

It is one thing for a private citizen to repudiate CNN and wish it off the air. It is another thing altogether for a potential President being encouraged to use the power of the Presidency to censor the press. No matter how vile the particular press organ is.

Stone was kicked off of CNN for profanity.

He's perfect for Trump, though.  Loud, profane, a pathological liar and a propensity for women not his wife.

CNN doesn't broadcast over the air. There is nothing, literally nothing, anyone can do about what they might say. *facepalm*

Stone is despicable and Trump's connection to him is just one more reason not to support Trump.

Only comedy is Cruzers looking like Fools since Stone was fired long ago and has no connection to Trump Campaign. But facts do not matter to ya'll.

Roger Stone is working for Trump behind the scenes. He can work his evil trashy tactics and give Trump deniability that some naïve people believe.

Here's what happened with Stone: even he thought that Trump was going off the rails with the stuff he was saying and so he quit.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/08/trump-ends-relationship-with-longtime-political-adviser-roger-stone/

Then he saw that it wasn't hurting him, so he came back as a Trump proxy.

As a potential Trump voter, talk like this doesn't exactly make the case for voting for him. Ok, so Trump fired this guy, he really needs to disavow him.

This is turning to a nightmare election. Do I vote for Trump and possibly initiate the next Constitutional Crisis, or worse, Civil War?

Not that I care of either, but the fact of what he said --

CNN, Stone averred, “is not an news organization but an advocacy group.” The network “will literally pull the cord on your microphone — they turn you off.”

is nothing new.  All news, including radio and print media do it.  Now do I want more government expansion or changes to the First Amendment to cure this evil? I think not. BUT, given that, the FEC COULD, issue rules on time spent or given to announced political candidates that make a balanced and fair playing field.

Trump wants to change the law so he can sue people easier.  So why should he muzzle Stone?  He's a kindred spirit.

Trump's conspiracy-obsessed consigliere speaks.

The one who should be pulled off the air is Roger Simon.

BUT, given that, the FEC COULD, issue rules on time spent or given to announced political candidates that make a balanced and fair playing field.

 **nononono*

Even if the FEC issued rules on time spent, the media outlet would determine what they said about that political candidate, or are we also going to give the federal government the power to decide what news outlets can and cannot report?  An arm of the government deciding what is legitimate news and what is fair reporting vs. advocacy sounds like a nightmare to me.  That is in a nutshell federal government control of the media.  Pretty scary when people start saying stuff like this as it is completely ANTI-1st Amendment!  News outlets can say whatever they want, it is up to the person perusing the news to sort out what is legitimate and what is propaganda.  Once control over such matters is given to the government, free speech is nonexistent.

It is stuff like this that makes me think twice about ever casting a vote for Trump.  Trump and Hillary are indeed same sides if the same big government, authoritarian coin.
