Trump accuses Bush, Graham of breaking GOP loyalty pledge

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/05/07/trump-accuses-bush-graham-breaking-gop-loyalty-pledge.html?intcmp=hpbt1

Quote
Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump on Saturday accused former primary rivals Jeb Bush and Sen. Lindsey Graham of breaking a candidates’ pledge to the party’s eventual nominee.

“Jeb Bush isn’t an honorable person. Lindsey Graham isn’t an honorable person,” Trump said at a rally in Spokane, Washington, ahead of the state’s May 24 primary.

All 17 major GOP presidential candidates in September 2015 purportedly signed the loyalty pledge, which was issued by the Republican National Committee and also committed the signees to not running as an independent or write-in candidate, or supporting a candidate from another party.

That was back when they thought they were dealing with a man rather than a child.  All deals are off.  It would be irresponsible of them the endorse Trump.

Absolutely on all counts.

It doesn't matter.  Donald Trump is not held accountable for ANYTHING he does by his followers.

They enjoy victim status, and whining about things "unfair."   Just like King Donald does......

I think all such political pledges cannot some implied conditions to them -- essentially, that you're going to behave in a way generally consistent with how people in your position are expected to behave.  I wouldn't blame Cruz or Rubio, in the least, if they declined to support him also.

If Trump doesn't like that, then I suppose the response is "hey, you know what you told all those contractors whom you only paid .85$ on the dollar?  'So sue me'?  If you don't like these guys not supporting you, then find yourself a friendly court and 'sue us."

Can you imagine Ted Cruz' endorsing Trump after Trump ravaged his family and accused his beloved father of killing Kennedy??

He'd have to be as insane as Trump is to do such a foolish thing.

(And he's not).

Did Donald Trump break his pledge?

They only had to honor the pledge as long as they were treated fairly.

Was there a codicil attached to the agreement?  If not, Cruz did not keep his pledge.  He's acted with dishonor.

It was beneficial for Ted and Graham to say that at the time; that's all. They never cared about the pledge or honoring it. It was about their image and trying to win votes.

Do such things need to be in writing, or stated expressly?

Because lets say Jeb won the nomination, and then it came out he was a pedophile.  Are the other candidates still honor-bound to support him?

No candidate is "honor bound" to support a man who says his Dad assassinated a President.

In fact, it is the height of hypocrisy for ANY Trump supporter to talk about honor.

They wouldn't recognize it in a candidate if it hit them squarely in the face.

In a written, signed agreement, yes.  This is the purpose of a contract.

Trump did not treat him fairly.  Remember how often Trump threatened to dump the pledge because he thought he wasn't being treated fairly?

What a joke. Trump trashed my dad like that and I'd sic the Mafia on him.

Ditto for Trump.  He's the most unethical liar I've ever seen in a campaign.

OK, looks like I will have to resort to showing you the TRUTH.  Which Trumpsters ignore anyway so what the hell difference does it make?

Back on March 30th Trump says The Pledge is null and void.

Question to him from CNNs Anderson Cooper, "Will you support the nominee?"   Trump's answer is, "No, well...... We'll see who it is"

Trump signed contracts and broke them in his four bankruptcies.  Wasn't he obligated to fulfill those contracts?

It's like a marriage. All vows are null and void where adultery is involved.

Are you a paid #neverTrump online persona? I ask because you posted this knowing the conversation occurred AFTER they had stabbed him in the back and broke the agreement.

Post the timeline please.

I'll swear, Mechanicos, you lie like your boy.  Graham and Bush said they would not support Trump the day before yesterday.  This video is from March 30.

Nothing you post makes any sense.  Nothing.

Did Donald Trump break his pledge?
Technically, yes, if he officially wins the primary. Because he is the nominee itself, it no longer applies to him.
