The governor of California has raised the legal age to buy tobacco for smoking, dipping, chewing and vaping from 18 to 21. Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown announced Wednesday he signed a bill calling for the change.

About the only thing an 18 year old is allowed to do in CA is vote and drive...and there are some who are pushing to lower the voting age to 16.

They're going after vapes as well...

So when tax revenue goes down from reduced tobacco purchases, the wailing from Sacramento about how the budget is in "trouble" [again] will commence in earnest.
