This is just a stop-gap for now. I may not agree with some of his positions but the fundamental approach he takes to government is much more in line with mine than either Trump or Hillary.

Now who is the Libertarian candidate. Because if the republicans can nominate Scam Wow... they have left me. Our third of the republican party... if it voted for the 'Bert, could throw this election to the House.... I would take the Libertarian hands down over the Trump/Hillary ticket.

Gary Johnson. Former two-term Governor of New Mexico; was a very strong reformer there. Left the GOP in 2012 after he got nowhere in the early stages of the primary.

He's socially liberal, but at the rate we're going that will probably be irrelevant soon, and considering he is more oriented with limited government, his approach is not the same as the imposing tactics Trump or Clinton prefer.

We already have the base. What we need now are branches and leaves.

In 1976, neither Pres. Ford or Ronald Reagan had enough delegates to secure the nomination going into the convention. In an attempt to woo moderate and liberal Republicans, Mr. Reagan promised to name liberal Senator Richard Schweiker of Pennsylvania as his running mate if he should win the nomination. Unfortunately for Mr. Reagan and the country, the move infuriated the conservative base while winning very few liberals or moderates to his candidacy. Pres. Ford proceeded to win the nomination. The lesson is plain: moving left to appeal to moderates and liberals will not win their votes, and it will alienate the conservatives. The Republican Party, if Mr. Trump is their nominee this year, will experience this phenomena in large scale this November.

I have no power to prevent her from becoming President, thus I have no power to allow it either. I just have the power of one vote, which I have to spend as my conscience dictates. Now, a question for you: what is moral about supporting a routine liar, a known adulterer, someone who appears to have no morals of his own beyond doing what he must to increase his own fame and fortune, regardless of who is hurt in the process?

Go ahead and add me to the list.  I won't vote for Trump.  Not after the campaign he's run.  It's not enough for him to defeat Senator Cruz, a good man and a conservative Patriot.  Trump for some reason, wants to DESTROY him and his entire family, and to further divide the a Republican Party in the process by alienating conservatives.  Why?  It doesn't seem that Trump even wants my vote, so I will be more than happy to oblige him.

I can't believe that two lying low-life socialists, Trump and Clinton, will be our nominees in November.  What a sad time for the U.S.

I as well. I consider myself a Conservative and am no longer a Republican. I love this Country and it's Constitution; not the government. I cannot and will NOT vote for someone who I feel will continue us on the path of destruction.  I know that many in this forum have heard me state that several times before (I apologize for the repetitiveness), but that has been my core belief for quite sometime.

I wasn't old enough at the time to vote in 76, but I agree on all the rest. I can't/ won't vote for a liberal/RINO. I will be voting in local elections only.
