Trump already has the endorsements of Vlad Putin, Mike Tyson, and David Duke.  He doesn't need or want GOP endorsements.

You forgot John Boner, Newt, and the Huck!

Those are not real endorsements.  Boehner hates Cruz.  Newt and Huck want more money time on Fox.

Putin, Duke, and Tyson really love Trump for what he is.

This type of Trump statement is part of his overweening hubris.  It is a normal part of his demagogic campaign.  It plays well to the populist approach.  Trump is as narcissistic as Obama and even more disdainful than Obama towards Republicans and conservatives.

Yet he employs 22,000 people and is worth billions of dollars. Must be luck, eh?  :silly:

That's often cited as if it were some sort of qualification. What I have not seen is pointing out the fact that a large part of his fortune was built on the exploitation of human weakness (gambling) and desire for luxury (hotels and golf courses.)

If a man wants to profit from decadence, he is free to do so. But, that speaks to his character, and is the bottom line why I cannot vote for him.

You're gonna climb the high horse and hold your vote...giving Hillary the chance to nominate FOUR (4) SCOTUS justicies..... because the man built casinos/hotels where gamblers congregate ?

That's pathetic, don-o.

Almost every business Trump engages in exploits human weakness.  Look at all the defunct pyramid marketing schemes he started:  Trump steaks, Trump vitamins, Trump vodka, Trump phones, Trump University.

Playing people for suckers is what Trump does.  Just look at this campaign.  From start to finish, it's a con job and his supporters are marks.

Once again I ask you just what in his entire history makes you think that The Donald's nominees would be one iota better than Hillary's?

Actual evidence please!

And that's largely because both Trump and a lot of his supporter have made it their mission to trash the GOP during this primary season.  Whatever new people they're claiming to be pulling in are not being pulled in as Republicans -- they're being pulled in as Trump supporters.

This could be an epic loss for the GOP in November if both major party candidates are running against the Republican Party.

Precisely.

Can you provide some support, for that claim?

How do you feel about the GOP, which offered:

--Bob Dole ?
--John McCain ?
--Mitt Romney ?

This cycle, Trump's supporters did NOT force Perry, Bush, Walker, Rubio to drop out of the contest, unless you consider their votes.

Trump has to date, garnered more GOP primary votes, then any candidate in history.

Therefore you are seeking to "blame" and be critical, of a large number of people.

It's a weak and phony excuse.   Anyone whose read you over the years on TOS knows you're a competitive sport who likes to win.  You're pragmatic.

You telling me that you can't vote for Donald J. Trump because he developed/built a legal gambling casino, is laughable.

A GOP majority in both Houses guarantees it.  A Hillary victory guarantees Barack Obama as possible Chief Justice.

Don't play games with this.

Don't play games with this.

If Trump is the nominee, the GOP loses the Senate and could very well lose the House.  The Senate is GONE, DC, with Trump as the nominee.

I posted a couple of ads already being run by Democrat Senatorial hopefuls against vulnerable Republicans in blue states.

You need to wrap your head around the fact that the down-ballot races will be very ugly for Republicans in the fall.

I have no reason to believe the polls.

I have no reason to believe the media.

I have no reason to believe somebody who, IMHO, has an over-inflated sense of their voting bloc, simply because most of his friends on the forum shares his POV.   Mitt Romney, anyone?

And what exactly makes  "vulnerable Republicans" ? Republicans that haven't done their job?

First off, if you didn't believe the media, Donald Trump would never be your choice for President because his rise is almost entirely BECAUSE of the media.

Second, it is not we who over-inflate our sense of the voting bloc. We know darn well we're outnumbered but hope and pray that somehow, common sense will prevail. At this point divine intervention is our only legitimate hope.

Seriously?

What I recall is for the last several years, "conservatives" complained about the GOP, and most recently about the GOPe wing of the party.

This primary season, has been a contest between two options, other than the "party pick" candidate(s).

It simply is what it is. The voters have spoken. I can accept that, but obviously some cannot.

I am a risk taker. My judgment is that Trump has the best interests of the nation in mind, and he will do more good than harm. I know Hillary will do more harm, than good.

I see a near insane reaction to Trump, inspired by those same GOPe interests, who fear loss of their control, and consequential benefits.

That you think Trump has the interests of the nation in mind reflects poorly on you.  He hasn't thought through ANY of his policies.  His vague and confused references to his buzz words are not backed up by any plans whatsoever to do what he says he'll do.  He knows how to play people for suckers.

And some on this forum have fallen for the siren song of a huckster.

The fact that so many on the right believe that one man would (or should) have the power to destroy an entire wing of our political process, when that wing they're rejoicing in destroying is NOT the far left wing, is incredible.

Tell me, is Trump so much of a demigod in your eyes that you think that he will, all by himself, destroy leftism in government and lift this nation from the depths of despair and disillusionment to that fabled Shining City on a Hill place of some long-ago, undefined better days?

If in fact the dreaded GOPe loses "their control" what then?

What do you or Trump have ready to fill its place?

What will fill the void left behind after the demise of the GOPe?

The answer to that is simple.

Democrats.
