Do they have any idea if the Brazos has crested in your area?  I saw on tv tonight that Lake Possum Kingdom (west of DFW), had opened all flood gates, which empties into the Brazos.  Sadly there is more water likely headed your way.  This has been unreal.  Prayers for your safety buddy.

Very close to cresting.

Another 2-3 inches in the Austin area tonight, falling at the rate of nearly an inch per hour. The lightning that accompanied the storms was enough to shut down the X-Games for the night, down at the Circuit of the Americas facility.
Let it burn.

@thackney, so glad the dam is still holding.

Did you get sunshine today?  Looks like we may have a week to dry out.

Unreal!  Where in the heck did you find the aqua dam and get it installed on such short notice?  Bet that wasn't cheap.  Cheaper than reinstalling drywall and painting though.

I am so glad that your house is going to be okay.  Lose any animals in the barn?

P.S.  You might see if aqua dam will cut you a better deal since you got them national advertising...lol.

I agree.  This is absolutely the best advertising for their product.  You must not be far from my area in Alvin.

@Sanguine

We are drenched but there is no flooding.  We are too far away from the rivers and in some places 40 feet above sea level.  Alvin took 40 inches of rain in 24 hours back in 1979. Our home was one of the 5% or so that did not flood.

I found this video on Facebook which is interesting...  Texas Flooding

The previous owner bought it in Louisiana. He set it up with a few friends. I bought the house just before the flood.

No man is an island....oh wait.......lol.

Great to hear that all is well with you and your house.  Quite a few varmints come to your "island" for protection?  Fire ants, snakes...?
